POV-Carlos
"You think we'll be able to see Luke and Reggie when we get back?" I asked Athena as we paid.
"I didn't think we'd ever see them after we left that house," Athena replied honestly.
"Yeah, but it's cool," I shrugged as we left the diner and walked towards the car. "Plus, they can tell us everything that happened."
"And what are we going to tell people?" Athena asked. "That the dead kids told us what happened? You can tell them that, but I won't be visiting you in the psych ward."
"Fair point," I sighed as I opened the driver side door.
AthWeena got in and I turned to see if I could still see the boys, but back seat was empty. However, the windows were fogged up as if someone cranked the heat while it was raining outside. Weird.
I turned back around and started the car. Our shift was over, so we had to return the patrol car and then we could finally go home. It's been a long day.
I parked the car and filled out my reports at my desk. I would've said goodbye to Athena, but she was already gone. So I just went home without a word.
When I opened the front door, the smell of enchiladas surrounded me. I smiled. I didn't know he liked to cook. I mean, we've cooked together many times, but I'm usually the one to cook for him when he gets back from his shifts. This is cute though. I liked this surprise.
When I walked into the kitchen, he had his back to me as he did something on the stove. I snuck up behind him and wrapped my arms around his waist and put my head on his shoulder.
"Shit!" T.K jumped.
"Sorry," I smiled as I kissed his neck.
"I was going to surprise you," T.K explained, "but it's obviously not ready yet."
I noticed the two plates he had on the stove. They both had rice on them and the enchiladas were still in the pan.
"I can walk out and come back in and act surprised if you'd like," I offered.
"No, it's fine," he turned to kiss me. "I can try again next time."
"Oh my gosh!" a voice said from behind us. "We're like quadruplets!"
"Shut up!" another voice said.
T.K freaked the fuck out as he pushed me off of him and turned to see who was in the house. I grabbed a knife from the holder and stepped in front of T.K. Once I saw who was here, I put the knife away since it wouldn't do anything to them anyway.
"Why are you two here?" I asked them.
"Well," Reggie started, "We discovered we could teleport. So we teleported to our apartment."
"But Mrs. Harvey was there and she was crying and it hurt too much to be there.," Luke continued.
"So we went back to the police station and Athena already left, but you were still there," Reggie kept going.
"So we came home with you, planning to stay invisable," Luke glared at Reggie.
"I'm sorry!" Reggie looked at Luke with wide eyes. "I got excited."
"Who are you and how can you teleport?!" T.K asked, still scared.
"Relax, T.K," I told him as I rubbed his hand. "They're ghosts I think. I mean, I saw their bodies go in body bags so I assume they're ghosts. They can't do any harm because they're dead though."
"I'm sorry," T.K put one hand on my shoulder, "did you hear what you just said?"
I nodded, confused.
"You just said they're dead," he was in total shock. Which was understandable. I just told him there were two ghosts in the house. I probably sound like I'm going crazy.
