Enhypen's Niki - Burned

Niki's POV 

My hyungs were all resting in their bed and so was I. I was bored out of my mind. I played my Nintendo Switch already. I talked with my family. I bothered my hyungs already, so I had nothing left to do. I sat up and my stomach started growling really loudly causing everyone to look at me.

"Someone's hungry," Sunghoon Hyung teased. 

I just rolled my eyes. 

"What do you want to eat, Niki?" Jay Hyung asked. 

"How about Ramen"?

"That sounds good," Jake Hyung said. 

"Ok I'll go-" I cut off Jay Hyung and said

"No, I want to make it for us. I can do it".

"Are you sure?" Sunoo Hyung asked.

"Yes Hyung, I'm capable,'' I said, getting up and walking to the kitchen.

I got some Ramen out of the pantry and started boiling the water. I was on my phone scrolling through social media. I got bored with that and placed my phone down on the counter. I then stared off into space, thinking of what I could do next. I was snapped out of my thoughts when the tea kettle whistled. I turned off the stove and opened the lids slightly. I grabbed onto the kettle handle and poured the water but it was getting too hot on my hand. I let go and the tea kettle spilled everywhere. The hot water spilled on my leg and my arm. I was in shock and couldn't really react. It was like I was frozen. I snapped out of it when I heard Heeseung Hyung yell

"NIKI ARE YOU OK, WHAT WAS THAT NOISE"

"IM FINE" I said quickly trying to clean up the water. It was everywhere and the pain from the water just set in.

"Ahhh" I said, rolling up my sleeve and running cool water on it. It helped for a little bit but the pain came back. My arm started to get red and my leg was hurting too. I knew I messed up and needed help.

I walked back to our room only poking my head inside.

"U-um H-hyungs don't be mad ok" I said trying not to cry from the pain. When I said that all eyes were on me. Worried and concerned eyes. 

"What's wrong Niki?" Jungwon Hyung said standing up, causing the rest to follow. I came fully in the room and their eyes widened. I broke down in tears. They looked so disappointed. Great job Niki you can't even cook Ramen. 

"NIKI BABY HOW DID YOU DO THIS" Jake Hyung said, snapping out of shock first. 

"I dropped the tea kettle and the water slipped everywhere".

"Ok ok sit down" Jay Hyung said, guiding me to my bed.

"Is it just your arm,'' Sunghoon Hyung asked. 

"No," I pointed at my leg.

"Ok we're going to cut your pants leg ok'' Sunoo Hyung said. 

I nodded. Jake Hyung sat down hugging me on the side where my arm wasn't burned. I just snuggled closer to him seeking comfort and that's what I got. 

"Niki, this is not good," Jay Hyung said. I could hear the disappointment and concern in his voice which made me cry even harder.

"I-im sorry, hyungs. I didn't mean to disappoint you. I can't even make Ramen by myself". 

"Hey, hey it's ok we're not disappointed things happen. We're just concerned because this looks really bad, baby" Sunghoon Hyung said.

"Yeah, I think we should bring him to the hospital," Jungwon Hyung said. 

"Ok, me and Sunoo Hyung will clean up the water and you guys get ready to leave,'' Jungwon Hyung said, ordering us. We all did what he said. My hyungs brought my shoes and coat to me. I only put one arm in not wanting to hurt my burned arm further. After they cleaned up the water we drove to the hospital. I was brought to the back once we got there because there weren't too many people in the ER. 

Jake's POV 

Niki was taken back and we sat down impatiently waiting for the doctors to talk to us. 

A doctor walked up to us and we stood up and asked

"How is he, is he ok," we didn't even give her a chance to speak.

She just smiled at us and waited until we calmed down. "He's being treated now, come with me please". 

We didn't hesitate to follow her. She led us into Niki’s room. A nurse was wrapping gauze around his leg and arm.

"So we put some ointment on his burns and loosely wrapped his burns. He also gave him painkillers. You have to change his gauze every 3 to 5 days and if it doesn't look like it's healing or if it starts to look weird please bring him back immediately". 

"Ok thank you doctor," Jungwon said. 

"No problem, once she's done wrapping his burn he can leave but don't forget to pick up his ointment,'' she said, smiling and leaving the room.

Niki's POV 

Once we got home Sunghoon Hyung laid me on the couch. We all sat there in silence. They all went on their phones leaving me confused.

"What are you guys doing?" I asked.

"We're looking up how to better take care of your wounds,'' Jay Hyung said.

I just smiled and leaned my head on Jake Hyungs shoulder. 

5 days later 

"Niki, are you ready?" Sunghoon Hyung said, putting the ointment in his hands. 

I nodded. He put the ointment on and I thought it would sting and it did but not as bad. We continued to do that until it healed. But I had big scars. Sunoo Hyung would put vitamin e on my scars everyday and we would see improvement. 

Since that I would be nervous around boiling water or anything that could burn me. My Hyungs noticed so they didn't really ask me to help them cook. Only if they were chopping things up.

"Niki, are you scared of the water?" Sunoo Hyung asked, seeing me stare at the boiling water on the stove. 

I didn't respond. He came and gave me a hug.

"Hey, Niki, we can help get rid of your fear, are you willing to try it?'' Jake Hyung said.

"I-i'll try". Ever since then I would help them cook dealing with the hot water and things like that. Soon enough I was able to handle hot water on my own, with my Hyungs supervision.
