"Why are you telling him all our secrets, Hyunjin?"

Jongho snapped his head towards the door. Yuri was leaning against it with a hand on her hip. "He told me he was a new recruit from the South Sector."

Yuri tilted her head with a smirk. "Did he now?"

Jongho groaned and threw his head back. Why did she have to be the one to show up?

"Hyunjin, give us a minute."

Hyunjin hesitated before putting his tools down and hurried out of the room.

"So," Yuri said as she made her way towards the younger. "You're a new recruit? If you wanted to join, you could've just said so."

Jongho snorted and shook his head. "And be with you? I rather die than be on the same side as you."

Yuri dropped her smirk and got closer to his face. "I can grant you that wish, but," She paused and pulled her gun out. "I think I would have much more fun with Wooyoung's life on the line."

At that, Jongho tugged at his restraints, gritting his teeth and groaning from the soreness. "If you touch him, I kill you myself."

That made Yuri smile. "Not if you can't do anything about it." Yuri stepped back and opened her arms wide. "I'm unstoppable, Jongho, and no one can beat me."

"Maybe," He said, Yuri still stepping backwards, not breaking eye contact. "But you and I both know that if anyone were to take you down, it'd be him."

Yuri scoffed. "He won't do shit. I'll make sure of it." She turned on her heels and opened the door, two men dressed in all black walked in, followed by a short girl who was wearing a white suit covering her body up until her mask, only showing her blonde hair and dark eyes.

She held a syringe in her hand, filled with orange substance that had gold flecks swimming around in it. When she got to Jongho, she gripped his jaw and yanked it to the side. "What is that?!"

Yuri chuckled. "You wanted to be a recruit."

The needle pierced his skin, right into his blood vessel. The thick liquid flowed through his streams, warming up his insides instantly. When the syringe was empty, the girl placed it down and pulled out what looked like a tattoo gun, but instead of a needle, the whole was closed off.

She put it up to his neck just right below his ear, she clicked the button that was under her thumb and Jongho let out a yelp at the pinch feeling.

Under his ear, a number was tattooed on him with a letter, but it only appeared for second before vanishing into his own skin.

The girl in white turned to him. "Combat 682b, your training starts tomorrow at 13:30 hours." With that, the girl left.

Yuri hummed in satisfaction. "Welcome to the Surge."

"Combat."

Yeosang took a deep breath, reaching his arm out and pushing himself as far as he could against bars, his face being slightly squeezed in between.
