After the ceremony concluded, I walked around the school with Liam, Eleanor, Louis, and Harry. Seeing as this was probably the last time we were all going to be together again, none of us were left with dry eyes.
We all had come to the realization that this wonderful bond that we all had made would eventually diminish into a smile and a wave while seeing each other at a grocery store. None of us wanted to leave, none of us wanted to say goodbye, but at the same time, none if us were going to compromise our entire future to stay together.
Zayn was wandering around the school also with friends and also saying goodbye. The only reason I willingly let him walk around the school with my dad also lurking in it, was because he promised me that he would be fine. Zayn never went back on a promise.
~
I texted Zayn asking where he wanted to meet up so that we could leave, while I sat with Liam in the cafeteria watching the crowd thin out. I then got a text back, but not from Zayn.
"Niall, hello son. Zayn and I decided to take a trip to visit this,'new dad,' of yours. If you need us you know where we are."
I almost dropped my phone as I turned towards Liam, all of the blood flushed from my face and my breathing ragged. “What happened,” he questioned looking up from his phone. I grabbed him by the arm and darted out the cafeteria doors; tears quickly found their way to my cheeks, “Niall, what’s wrong,” Liam now yelled.
I couldn’t take it, what I felt at this moment was what you would feel when you’ve been trying to fight through something for years and years, and all of a sudden you just want to give up. All of the work that you’d done, everything that you’d built up doesn't even matter anymore. Your tired of trying, tired of caring, tired of fighting, and it just consumes you. I fell to the ground, a ball of tears, fear and apathy was all that was left of me. “Niall, come on, get up, whats fucking wrong.” I pushed Liam away, “Zayn,” I cried, he was the only reason why I’d still been fighting, he was the only thing left that kept me strong.
“What did he do,” Liam questioned frustratedly, “no,” I swatted his hands away and swallowed hard, trying to somewhat compose myself. “My dad kidnapped Zayn, and they’re on the way to our dads house,” I choked out. Liams’ eyes grew three times their normal size as he yanked me off of the ground. He carried me bridal style, knowing that I wasn’t capable of walking on my own, and we raced to his car.
~
We both got out of the car with bold faces, tears completely gone, and our graduation gowns taken off. We opened the door to see Zayn furious and tied up with rope, and his mouth ducktaped. He sat in the corner while my father stood in the middle of the room with a gun pressed to Liams dads head. “Shh, guys, you’re awful loud,” my dad, Bobby, said with a smirk, I slitted my eyes at seeing Zayn tied up. He was the only reason that I was still here today, and I’ll be damned to see him leave this world today. Zayn was not going to die today if I had anything to do with it.
“Bobby,” Liam started, “can we just think rationa-,” Bobby interrupted him with laughter, “I’ve thought this over hundreds of times, and your dad will die today, whether you like it or not.” He was stern, but Liam couldn’t handle it, he charged Bobby before he even knew what was going on, and knocked him to the floor, the gun sliding out of his hand.
Liam continuously punched him in the face and I ran to untie Zayn, only getting halfway through before I looked back towards Liam. Bobby was pointing the gun at Liam, and a knife was pressed against Geoffs throat. “Well I would hope that you said your goodbyes to this piece of shit,” Bobby nonchalantly wished. He abruptly slit Geoffs throat and smirked at our gasps as he went to the ground, Liam immediately fell to his his hands and feet, crying. Bobby stopped pointing the gun at him and let him crawl to his father, “so it seems that you’re next Zayn,” my heart almost burst out of my chest at those words.
We’d called the police before we got in here and they’d yet to show up. “Dad, please no, stop,” I cried, he crept up to me slowly, then quickly threw me across the room, to get to Zayn. Suddenly, Mr. Tucker ran passed me and viciously punched my dad in the face, the obvious crack of a broken nose echoed in the air. He later explained to me that he saw Liam and I frantically leaving the school in tears, sensing that something was wrong. I picked up the gun that he once again dropped on the ground, cocking it at waiting for him to look at me in the eyes. Mr. Tucker eventually stopped beating and they both looked at me, “Niall,” my dad spoke with a giggle. I aimed the gun at him and with every fiber of my being, I tried to pull the trigger, but I couldn’t.

After a while of Liam and I fighting off Bobby, Mr. Tucker found his way to untie Zayn, and the police finally decided to show up. The barged into the house apprehending Bobby, but Zayn the stepped up to him, “can I get a word with Bobby, please,” he asked.
The cops backed away watching Zayn closely as he leaned down to whisper in his ear, “listen, I bet you think that you’re the shit, and I bet that you think you’re going to get out of prison again. But I swear I will kill you if you ever come near my boyfriend again. I don’t give a fuck who you are, and I don’t give a fuck where you came from, but you’re going to leave Niall alone; do you understand bitch.” Bobby chuckled, “you’re a funny, faggot aren’t you?”
Without any warning, Zayn suddenly swung his fist at him, knocking him out cold, the cops quickly stepped in, pulling him away. Zayn backed away reluctantly wishing he could just have one fair fight with Bobby, knowing that he would absolutely annihilate him. He turned towards me and kissed me deeply, “It’s all over now baby.”

A few days later, things had settled down; Bobby was under arrest, Geoff was buried in the ground sadly, but all I could do was thank him for standing up with us. Liam was going off to uni in a couple of months which would leave the whole house to Zayn and I exclusively; something that we’d never had before. But more importantly, this was the first time in my life that I’d been comfortable. I’d lost my dad, mom, stepdad, my friends were all going their separate ways, and Liam was leaving. All of the finality was definitely heartbreaking, seeing as the only person that I really had left was Zayn.
But it made me treasure him so much more than I’d already been doing, all of the pain finally being washed away made us inseparable . This wasn’t one of those relationships where one spouse was insecure about the other loving them, I knew that Zayn loved me as much as I loved him, our lives depended on it. “Who knew that I’d end up here, with you, with your ring around my finger, and mine around yours,” I grinned, shining the brightest blush in the dimly lit room. “Who knew that we needed each other, and that we’d end up alive, together, and happy.”
That rung in my mind for minutes after, the single word happy. I’d never, ever in my life gotten to truly experience happiness until this moment, right now. “So,” he smiled at me, our noses touching as we snuggled under the sheets, “what do you wanna do now,” he joked. His phone buzzed behind him, but we both ignored it, “lets just stay here forever, Zayn.” He pecked my lips, as he’d done several times while we laid there, “let’s do it, Nialler.”
~
The ignored text read:
“Hello Zayn, I just wanted to say hi, tell you that I miss you, and that it’s about time that we caught up, you know, spend a little father-son bonding time together. Can’t wait for it son, I Love You!”
Do I smell a trilogy...
