"I never asked you how your date went, Ni, I know it’s been like a week but, tell me, tell me tell me," Louis demanded. "Alright," I giggled, "well, Liam and Josh were our waiters, we confessed everything to each other, good and bad, we more than made up. But then we kissed and Peyton was there and he called us faggots, and everyone in the restaurant stood up and basically took a shit on him. BUT THEN, Zayn took me back to his house and gave me a promise ring," I wrapped up and got community ,’awwww,’ from all of them except Liam, who sat with a wide smile.

"Yeah, you know, just the typical date," I said sarcastically as everyone started munching on their lunches again. "Before the bell rings, I just wanted to know what you two call yourselves," I asked, motioning to Harry and Louis. Louis then looked towards Eleanor, "it’s fine, I’m over it, go ahead," Louis then grinned and showed his hand that was hidden under the table and laced with Harry’s. "Yeah we officially started dating like two weeks ago," Harry clarified, Louis then turned to him with an irritated expression, "you still don’t remember the date," he huffed. The bell abruptly rang, shattering any residual bits of conversation, and forcing all of them to pack their things and leave. I started on my commute to my last class, but not without being spotted by Zayn, "hey baby," he greeted, kissing my cheek.

"Hey," I said back as his arm swung around my waist and we walked in sync. "I’m going to Starbucks, do you want the same thing you always get," he asked, "yes, please, one day you need to actually go to class Zayn, this is our senior year." He erupted into laughter, clenching his stomach and sealing his eyes shut.

Eventually, he came back down to just a giggle here and there, "I think it’s really cute that you care, but I have better things to do than sit in a room full of assholes." Zayn stopped walking and locked lips with me, "I’ll text you when I get back, okay," I nodded and parted with him finishing my walk to the classroom.

"Today were going to do another project, a bit simple but I still want a typed lab report about it. On your stations, you will find four different coloured waters. the blue is cold and salted, the green is just cold, the red is hot and salted and the yellow is just hot. Your job is to put them all in one glass, and find out what order they go in, density wise. If you’re right you will have all four colours visible in the glass, if you’re wrong it’ll be grey.

Now pair up," he finished and I sat watching everyone scurry towards their partners. My eyes scanned around the room and found Mr. Tucker staring back at me with an apologetic smile seeing that I was partnerless. "Looks like were together again," I heard someone say, then I looked up to see Kelsey standing there, she took a seat, and looked at the water like it was a dead body. "I’ll just go ahead and do this, you don’t have to help," I said and she immediately relaxed, knowing nothing about the principles of density.

It really wasn’t that hard of a project if you knew what you were doing, which I did. I picked up the dropper and sucked up the lightest liquid, the regular hot, yellow water, "I don’t mean to invade your privacy, but aren’t you and Peyton dating," I asked. She looked up at me, "yeah, we are, why," I shrugged my shoulders, "I mean you two are never partners, and you always end up stuck with me. You seen like the last priority on his list, and I mean, if you were my girlfriend being as pretty as you are, I’d want you with only me."

Her neck cocked to the side as she had just realized this. She then looked over to him to see him paired with another girl in the class, Sabrina, both of them a giggling mess as they continued to make grey water. I sat with my lips in between my teeth as I moved onto the next colour. Personally, I thought she was delusional for not seeing that before, it was really obvious that he was cheating on her. I also thought that he was a dick for thinking that he had the right to date with both girls blatantly in front of each other.

He obviously knew that they were to ignorant to see it themselves. I wrapped up the project as my phone buzzed in my pocket, Zayn was waiting in the parking lot. I quickly wrote down a rough lab report and took note of the order of the water from bottom to top, blue, green, red, then yellow. "Well have a good day, Kelsey, goodbye," I said picking my things up and leaving her in her seat staring at her boyfriend with tears in her eyes.

"Niall, what is this," Liam asked as I stopped packing boxes and took the paper from his hand.

"Well Niall, I figured you would be at school when I dropped by, so I wanted to leave a note. I see you’re packing boxes, you must me moving. Why didn’t you tell me about this? I want to know where my favorite son is at all times. But don’t worry I’ll find you, I always do.’

I read it in my head as if I was just reading the dictionary, with no emotion and lifeless. I couldn’t let Liam see what I read by just looking at my face, he would question the life out of me, and he had that Liam charm that made you tell him anything. On the inside, obviously I was having a panic attack, and I was about to burst into tears, but I couldn’t let him see. It was good that Zayn wasn’t here, I don’t think I could keep it together, I already felt bad about lying to him, but it felt necessary. I didn’t want to worry him, and I don’t think my dad would do anything too extreme, it could’t get much worse than when he left the first time. But there was always a possibility. “We’re back,” Josh announced upon entry with Zayn sauntering slightly behind him, I quickly crumpled up the paper and shoved it in my pocket.

“Hey babe,” Zayn said as he pecked my cheek, he furrowed his eyebrows as he walked to start packing more things, "Is something wrong Nialler." He gained the attention of Josh and Liam as well as they stared at me with the same expression, "yeah, I'm fine, why." He turned back to the empty box, "nothing, just I, you, nothing babe," I really hated lying to him, and the other guys for that matter, but they couldn't help me.

No matter how much they thought they could, or want to try, they didn't know my father like I did. They didn't know that he was manipulative enough to make them obey what he said and that scared me. They were pretty much pawns, sitting ducks, and it was my responsibility to minimize the casualties because no matter what happened, someone was going to get hurt.
