Don't Go Breaking My New Girl 2

(In the Man Cave; Ray is seated on the floor trying to make another kite, Schwoz is testing his new equipment, Piper and Jasper play checkers, Charlotte is sitting at the controls. The tubes drop Henry)

Henry: (presents a cream colored card)  "hey uh, did anyone see this invitation card up at Junk N Stuff?"

Everyone: (simultaneously) "no! No, i didn't!"

Charlotte: "Jasper, aren't you supposed to be up there?"

Jasper: "I'm on a break!"

Piper: (points at the card) "what's the letter say?"

Henry: (opens the letter and reads it. His countenance changes) "whoa!"

Schwoz: "what?"

Henry: (nervously licks his lip) "It's uh, an exclusive invitation for a dinner date. And it's for Charlotte."

(Everyone gets up. Jasper collects the card from Henry and begins to read it)

Piper: "you have a dinner date with....wait, who does Charlotte have a dinner date with?"

Jasper: "It's says here -- signed, Rock Bottom Randy."

(Charlotte and Piper scream in excitement. Charlotte grabs the card from Jasper to look at it.)

Charlotte : "I love Rock Bottom Randy."

Piper: "Shut up! Me too!"

Henry: (clearly upset) "who's Rock Bottom Randy?"

Ray: "yeah, who calls themselves Rock Bottom?"

Piper: "People who can't save their kite and end up making a replacement one."

Ray: (points at Piper) "I hate you." (leaves)

Jasper: "seriously guys, who's Rock Bottom Randy?"

Henry: "yeah, who's Rock Bottom whoever this guy is?"

Piper: "Rock Bottom Randy is like a big superstar. He does covers of popular songs and makes hilarious follow up music videos of them. He's got like a billion followers on Twitflash."

Charlotte: "His most famous covered song is my favorite -- don't go breaking my heart."

Henry: (grumbles) "I'm not sure i won't go breaking Randy's face with my fist cause he's asking my girlfriend on a date."

Jasper: (peering into the card) "yo, this guy is really rich. Look! It says he's taking Charlotte on a dinner at Kiki Dee's."

Piper: (shocked) "Kiki Dee's? That's like the most expensive restaurant but isn't it over in Bordertown?"

Schwoz: "Yes, they have the best cuisines. But, how did Randy Bottom Rockstar know where to find Charlotte?"

Jasper: (looks at Charlotte) "yeah, and how does he even know you?"

Charlotte: (nervously looks at Henry) "uh, we've been uh, emailing."

Henry:(gasps) "you're seeing Randy Bottom Rockstar behind my back? We've been dating only a week."

Charlotte: "no, it's not like that. We've been emailing way before you and i started dating."

Henry: "why didn't you cut him off? Hmm?"

Charlotte: "we were just friends!"

Henry: "oh really? oh really? 'Just friends' don't ask the other person on a really expensive dinner date over in the next town, Charlotte!"

Charlotte: "what are you even mad at me for? I totally forgot about Randy until this card arrived."

Henry: "yeah and now you're super excited to go on that date!"

Charlotte: "I'm not going!"

Piper and Jasper: "WHAT?"

Piper: "dude, you can't turn down a date like that. Even in a million years and with his deadbeat allowance, Henry couldn't take you on a date like this."

Henry: "Jesus Christ, Piper!"

Piper: (throws her hands up) "I'm just stating facts bro, no hate!"

Jasper: "okay, time out! Let's all review what's going on. Kay? Charlotte knew Rocky ...."

Piper: (goes to sit) "Randy!"

Jasper: "...Randy, before she started going out with Henry. And now, Randy wants to take Charlotte who used to be ' just friends ' with him on a date that Henry isn't happy about. I agree with Piper that it is a once in a lifetime harmless date and that Charlotte should go."

Piper: "Preach!"

Henry: "are you out of your mind, Jasper?"

Jasper: "calm down buddy. Randy isn't taking Charlotte away from you. Think of it as a meet and greet, a fan meeting her favorite celebrity."

Henry: "of course, a meet and greet with expensive meals and romantic music and flawless autographs. NO!"

Jasper: (places a hand on Henry's shoulder) "I  understand bro. Chenry has only existed for a week. It's okay to feel a little insecure about Charlotte going off on a date out of the blue but think about it, she's gonna be meeting her favorite celebrity. You'd be making her happy."

Henry: "That is stupid!"

Piper: "stupidly romantic!"

Charlotte: (sighs) "Listen you guys, i said i'm not going. No debate, okay!" (walks over to the elevator and pushes the button)

(Silence)

Ray:(rushes in holding a large kite) "I did it! I made another Manny!"

Henry: "Good for you! Pray it doesn't get asked on a date by Randy Bottom Rockstar!"

Ray: (hugs his kite protectively) "who now?"

(Scene closes)
