Henry Hearts Charlotte 2

(At Junk N Stuff, Ray walks in the front door with a huge tetherball)

Ray: "Jasper, come take this tetherball down to the Man Cave."

Jasper: (places a hand on his hip and points) "Just out of curiosity, why is the tetherball so big?"

Ray: "that's none of your business, boy. . . .now come take it down to the Man Cave."

Henry: (leans against the counter) "Dude, that's not normal tetherball size."

Ray: (smiles smugly) "glad you noticed."

Jasper: (sadly points to himself) "but i noticed first!"

Ray: "I took my old tetherball to an old friend of mine who's like an expert in making extra large balls, soccer balls, tennis balls, golf balls. . ."

Henry: (uncomfortable) "mm! You just had to say golf."

Ray: "he made my old one super large, just like these bad boys." (Kisses his biceps)

Jasper: "okay but what do you want to do with an extra large tetherball?"

Ray: "I said that's not of your business, Jasper."

Henry: "yeah but what do you wanna do with it?"

Ray: (smiles smugly again) "I'm gonna play massive tetherball in the Man Cave."

Jasper: (sadly): "but i asked first."

Ray: (snaps his finger in agitation) "That's it." (snatches the ball from Jasper) "I asked you to take my ball to the Man Cave, not ask me a ton of questions. Henry, you take the ball down to the Man Cave since i obviously don't pay Jasper enough to do as i say."

Henry: (disgruntled) "No. You were already on your way down to the Man Cave, dude, so you take the ball."

Ray: (smiles impatiently) "Henry, you're my sidekick which means you get to do whatever i tell you to."

Henry: "yeah i get that but come on, you were gonna play massive tetherball in the Man Cave so why not take it down?"

Ray: "because i'm asking you to."

Henry: (looks to Jasper helplessly) "alright fine. I'll take it but you have to give me a raise for this because you pay me to do as you say."

Ray: "yeah, raise! Whatever."

Jasper: (gasps) "No, i'll take the tetherball ball. Give me a raise."

Ray: (snaps) "You're too late."

(In the Man Cave. Charlotte and Schwoz are playing a game of cards when the elevator door opens and Henry walks in)

Charlotte: (stares in confusion at the ball Henry is holding) "what in the world?"

Schwoz: (also confused) "uhhhhhrrrrr. . ."

Henry: (inhales deeply) "just tell me where I can put this, please."

Charlotte: "I'm guessing that ball belongs to Ray."

Henry: "yup!"

Schwoz: (points to a corner) "place it over there. Why does Ray have a large teeth ball?"

Charlotte: (taps Schwoz slightly) " it's called a tetherball!"

Henry: (places the ball down and sighs) "Apparently he wants to play massive tetherball right here in the Man Cave."

(The elevator dings and Ray walks in with Jasper)

Ray: (claps satisfyingly) "so who's ready for our big game?"

Henry: "I'm sorry what?"

Ray: "We're gonna play massive tetherball. I told you up at Junk N Stuff."

Henry: "No, no no, you said that you were gonna play massive tetherball."

Ray: "Now i'm saying we are. We play in team of twos, me and Schwoz against you and Charlotte. The winners get a gold medal and an exclusive dinner for two at Montego's."

Henry: (slightly freaked) "wha-what. . .?"

Jasper: "hey, what about me?"

Ray: "you get to blow the whistle." (gently slaps a whistle on Japser's chest)

Charlotte: "I'm game. I wanna eat at Montego's."

Schwoz: "me too, so you're going down." (puts on his game face)

Charlotte: "No, i'm not. Henry and i are gonna kick yours and Ray's butt. (goes over to Henry and takes his arm) Right, Henry?"

Henry: (startled) "uhh, yeah." (stares at Charlotte's hand but she only keeps smiling)

Charlotte: (to Schwoz) "see? Get ready cause you're going down!"

(Henry slips away from Charlotte and walks over to Jasper. They talk in whispers)

Henry: (freaking out) "I can't play tetherball with her."

Jasper: "Dude, calm down. why not? It's just tetherball!"

Henry: "yeah but the winners get to eat at Montego's."

Jasper: "yeah so? What makes you so sure you'd win?"

Henry: "Because i'm good at tetherball and my partner is Charlotte. Do the math."

Jasper: "I hate math."

Henry: "Jasper, i can't go to dinner with Charlotte, alone, just me. . . and her. . . and food. . . at Montego's. Dude, i'm freaking out, okay!"

Jasper: (places a hand on Henry's shoulder) "Listen, if you don't want to go to Montego's, then just make sure you guys lose the game."

Henry: (slightly calmer) "Good idea. Thanks buddy."

(Scene closes)
