Hai Qing moved forward and rubbed the tear off of Pin Jun's face and broke out into tears himself, "I never wanted this. I never wanted to hurt you like this. I never wanted you to have tears in your eyes because of me, because of my stupidity."
"No, no, don't blame yourself please. It isn't your fault. You can't help it. We do not choose who we fall for. I might not have felt love but I understand your emotions. I feel grateful that you thought I am worthy of your feelings. And trust me, you mean a lot to me. You are the bestest friend I have." Pin Jun told Hai Qing, before hugging him tight. He felt solace in that embrace.
Hai Qing cried his heart out in Pin Jun's arms.
Pin Jun then told Hai Qing, "There is one more thing that I need to tell you. I am going to Japan next week. You know I have been doing classes online all these months. Now that my thesis is starting, I have to be there physically for the rest of my degree. I just got the call from my professor today. She wants to start the thesis work next week. Will you come see me off at the airport?"
"I will. Definitely. I will miss you, Pin Jun." Tears rolled down his eyes.
Pin Jun grabbed him into an embrace again.

Yan Fei arrived outside Pin Jun's house, worried what was happening. He was jealous. He did not want to lose Hai Qing. He went into the house. Pin Jun's housekeeper opened the door for him. He had been to the house before. So she let him in. He went straight into Pin Jun's room.
He witnessed the second hug.
"Babe, what is going on?" He asked, directed at Hai Qing.
They broke the hug and looked at Yan Fei.
"What are you doing here?" Hai Qing asked, surprised.
"He came to see if I was stealing you away from him. What else," Pin Jun smirked.
"Why are you hugging my date?" Yan Fei directed his question towards Pin Jun now, trying to make it sound like an act, as if following Hai Qing's plan but his jealous tone was showing that it affected him in real.
You can't act when feelings are involved. The real feelings get reflected.
"Yan Fei, it's alright. He knows. There's no use pretending anymore," Hai Qing told him.
"He knows? About our relationship? So we are not faking a relationship anymore?" He paused for an answer.
Receiving none, he continued, "So you two are together now?" He asked, surprised and sad.
"No, I know we have been best friends since we were kids but there is something about me I haven't told you before. Hai Qing knows it now. You should know about it too. This might sound new to you. I am autosexual." Pin Jun replied.
Pin Jun then went on to explain what he explained to Hai Qing.

The three of them were having dinner together after Pin Jun told Yan Fei about his autosexuality in details.
"Now I know why Pin Jun is still a virgin and never dated any girl," Yan Fei said.
"Or boy," Hai Qing added.
"Or any person." Pin Jun added, raising his glass.

One week later,
Pin Jun is at the airport, waiting for Hai Qing to show up with Yan Fei. Time is running out. He needs to go and check in his luggage, pass immigration and security, and board the flight. He can't wait any longer. He turns around and leaves for the luggage check-in. He is in tears. Hai Qing didn't show up. He had to leave Taiwan without meeting Hai Qing, not knowing when they would get to meet next.
