Chapter 8

Hai Qing opened the men's washroom door and found Yan Fei inside. The first tear dropped from his left eye at that moment. Yan Fei caught him in that state. He understood Hai Qing was upset for some reason.

Did Pin Jun say something to hurt Hai Qing, he thought.

Yan Fei then rushed towards him and hugged him. He didn't say a word. He didn't ask anything. He just embraced Hai Qing in his warm arms and let Hai Qing cry out whatever he was feeling.

Yan Fei held him like that as long as Hai Qing needed.

Hai Qing got a hold of his emotions and thanked Yan Fei for the support.

Yan Fei used his fingers to fix Hai Qing's hair that got messed up a little from the embrace.

Hai Qing stood there and really saw Yan Fei now. He noticed how good Yan Fei was. He felt comfort in Yan Fei's arms, something Pin Jun could not provide. But still his heart wanted Pin Jun. It did not crave for Yan Fei. He could not help it.

But his hurt emotions cooked something.
"Will you fake a relationship with me?" Hai Qing asked Yan Fei, being impulsive.

"Huh?" Yan Fei was puzzled.

"Will you be in a fake relationship with me?" Hai Qing was being impulsive.

Yan Fei was confused. What did Hai Qing mean by that? But the word relationship and being close to Hai Qing was probably enough to entice Yan Fei into accepting this offer.

"Alright, I will. What do I have to do?"

"We will act like a couple in front of Pin Jun. That's all."

"Oh," Yan Fei now understood what was happening here. Hai Qing liked Pin Jun and wanted to make him jealous. He was just a pawn in this game. But he gets to be close to Hai Qing. That has to count for something. Maybe while faking it, Hai Qing will realize that he is a better option than Pin Jun. He explained all this to himself. That is how bad he wanted to be with Hai Qing.

They went out the door. Yan Fei put his hand around Hai Qing's shoulders.

Pin Jun watched them both come out of the washroom together.

"He expressed his feelings for me and I agreed to date him and see where it goes. Maybe I will start liking him and we will become a couple in the future," Hai Qing announced to Pin Jun, expecting to see some reaction.

Pin Jun just got up and congratulated both of them. No jealousy detected. His face was unreadable to be honest.

Yan Fei took advantage of the situation and planted a kiss on Hai Qing's cheek.

Hai Qing looked at Pin Jun again. He seemed surprised by the kiss but no signs of jealousy still.

"Let's go to my place. We can hang there," Yan Fei suggested.

"You live in my neighbourhood," Hai Qing realized.

"Of course he does," Pin Jun smirked.

"What do you mean?" Hai Qing asked.

Pin Jun looked at his best friend, thinking whether he should tell Hai Qing or not.

"I kinda stalked you online using fake GPS and I came all the way to Taipei to meet you, besides looking for a job of course. Not here to meet my best friend Pin Jun," Yan Fei laughed, trying to pull Pin Jun's leg.

Pin Jun showed him the middle finger and laughed along.

Hai Qing didn't know what to say. This was serious. Wow, this man travelled all the way to meet him and knew his neighbourhood too. Did he just make a big mistake by asking him to fake a relationship with?

Hope he doesn't turn out to be a psycho later on, Hai Qing thought.
