Chapter 18

Yan Fei was at Hai Qing's, helping him pack his bags. The smile at Hai Qing's face and the gloominess of Yan Fei's face made a weird atmosphere in the room. Both felt each other's mood but both said nothing about it.

Hai Qing understood that he was at fault to an extent for how Yan Fei felt. He should not have given mixed signals to Yan Fei when he knew that he loved Pin Jun with all his heart and could not give it to Yan Fei. But he was so heartbroken by Pin Jun's absence and the creeping loneliness made him act stupid and confused. He wanted to say sorry to Yan Fei but it felt awkward. He did not want to have that conversation.

Yan Fei drove Hai Qing to the airport. When they arrived, Yan Fei helped Hai Qing put his luggage on the trolley and carry it till the gate.

Before Hai Qing entered, he needed to have that conversation. He turned around and hugged Yan Fei, "I am so sorry for everything I have put you through. I know you are in pain and I am responsible for it. I gave you hope only to shatter it and I am so so sorry, Yan Fei."

Yan Fei hugged him tight with all the pent up feelings and broke down into tears. The hug lasted a minute. Yan Fei said, "Go live your life, Hai Qing. Stay forever happy with your soulmate. He awaits you in Japan."

Hai Qing gave him one last hug and entered the airport.

Yan Fei stood there crying, watching his love leave. He may never be able to love again, he felt.

He felt like someone took the broken pieces of his heart and threw them on the floor again, breaking them into even smaller pieces a second time.

Hai Qing reached Japan and found Pin Jun waiting for him at the airport.

Walking out with his trolley, he left his trolley at the sight of Pin Jun and ran to hug him. Pin Jun grabbed him as he came running, almost losing his balance but not really. He managed his grip on time and swung Hai Qing around in an embrace. They both cried tears of joy in each other's arms.

"I have missed you so much. So so much. You have no idea," Pin Jun said, being emotional.

"I do. Trust me I do. I have missed you the same. I have missed you the same."

Pin Jun carried Hai Qing's trolley and put the luggage in the taxi. Pin Jun found his soulmate and Hai Qing finally met his love, his happiness. It was to stay this time. They were finally together.

It was a moon-lit night. They both viewed the moonlight as they headed for Pin Jun's place. Pin Jun had his arms around Hai Qing. He said, "You see that moon tonight. That is me and it is lit today because of you. You are the moonlight of my life. Without you all this time I was a dead moon without any luminescence."

"You do know that the moon gets its light from the Sun right?" Hai Qing stated.

"Please, I am a Physics major. I know. But you just butchered my cheesy dialogue." Pin Jun joked.

"Why are you so poetic today?." Hai Qing laughed.

"I am just happy you are here with me."

They kept staring at the moon as Hai Qing said, "The moonlight is back with the moon and it will stay forever that way now," Hai Qing said.

Pin Jun rested his head on Hai Qing's shoulders and said, "Who is being cheesy and poetic now, huh?"

They both laughed as the car went on to its destination...

People can live without sex because there are more important things than sex for a lot of people.

Autosexuality is valid.

Platonic love exists.

Best friends can be soulmates.
