*Mikey's POV*

I was happy to get out of the lair and onto a rooftop by myself for once. Well, me and Kitanna, but she didn't talk unless spoken too, which was nice.

Even us loud dudes need some quiet time every now and then.

I sighed and looked at the night sky. The stars twinkled and the moon hid behind some fluffy clouds.

"Kitanna?"

"Yes?"

"The fights with Karai... when you were little... how did they end up?" I had to know.

She smiled sympathetically. "Well, we would fight, verbally and physically, figure out what we did wrong and were drawn closer together after we apologized."

"How much closer?" I wanted to know.

"Well," she explained, "we can't choose our family. But we can choose to love each other with all our hearts."

"But Karai might not even be your blood related sister," I stated, before covering my mouth. I kept it up this long, I had to keep the secret longer.

"Yes, but..." she sighed. "I still love her. No matter what blood line she's from. But we aren't here to talk about me. What do you think made your brothers snap like that?"

She was too caring. Darn, no escaping this one. "I really don't know..."

I figured she was going to say something, but nothing came up. She just kept staring with her large green cat eyes.

"Well, I helped Donnie into bed, tried to let Leo in on some fun, and pulled a prank on Raph... as you saw," I grinned and looked at her.

She smiled her feline smile and laughed. "Yeah, that was pretty good." Then her face became serious again. "Why would any of that make them angry?"

I sighed again. "I... I don't know."

*Donnie's POV*

"Well, you had better go find them. Who knows what could be lurking in the deep pipes of the sewer system?" Sensei stated.

Granted, I felt bad about Mikey. But he needed to learn a few things, like growing up! And maybe being lost in the sewer will help him mature a bit...

"But Sensei," I stalled. "There's so many pipes and gateways in the sewers. Our likeliness of finding him is at a one to three hundred ratio! It would be better if we just wait and see if he returns."

"And what if he doesn't, Donnie?! What if neither of them return?!" April exclaimed, worriedly and angrily.

I shrunk back. I never thought of that...

Leo sighed. "Alright, let's go and try to find them. Donnie, track his T-phone. Raph, call Kitanna's. We need to find them..." Leo ordered all of to our stations.

I grumbled slightly and began tracking the phone of our younger brother. Why couldn't they just see that he needed to learn a little?!

His T-phone signature was working, but not functionally. The waves coming back from the satellite were cracked and the signal was frothy.

There was only on thing that could cause this. Mikey's T-phone had been smashed.

*Kitanna's POV*

Mikey and I sat for what seemed an eternity. He never really engaged a conversation, but I didn't mind.

I was in my own thoughts. How could Raphael say something like that? From the fights between them, he had never gone that far.

What had gotten into him? Twelve minutes earlier he was chasing his little brother around tickling him, then he goes and says he has to be something other than himself.

I growled and felt my eyes grow hot. The beast was trying to escape. I calmed down by breathing deep.

Turning to Mikey, I feel slightly off balance. That's strange. A cat never lost balance, except...

"Kitanna?" Mikey stated.

I shook off the feeling. "Yes, Michelangelo?"

"With Karai... what caused you two to split up?"

I was slightly shocked at his question. "Mikey, what caused me and my sister to quarrel for five years was the Shredder himself. Do not worry. I promise that will never happen to you and your brothers," I reassured him.

It was then that my ears picked up an unpleasant sound. I growled deeply and turned to see...

"Well, well, isn't this touching. Sorry to break it to ya, sis, but it wasn't father that caused us to constantly be at each other's throats."

Karai. Mikey instantly hopped up and I slowly stood as well. What was happening? Why did I feel... ill?

"Nice to see you too," I breathed. "What do you want this time? Shredder tried killing me twice, there's no way he's going to try again."

"Kill you?" She laughed. "No, no, no, this time it's going to be much worse."

She pulled out an empty dart gun. I felt my eyes grow wide and felt the back of my neck. She hit me with a poison dart.

"This time, we're going to make you suffer."

I fell to my knees. I felt faint, but I refused to give in. I couldn't leave Mikey alone to fight my sister. I wouldn't!

I ripped the dart out of my neck. Mikey helps me up on my shaking legs.

"It's no use, Mikey..." I whispered.

"There's no way I'm leaving you," he replied, knowing what I was to say.

He lifted me up bridal style and threw a smoke bomb on the roof top.

The last thing I heard was my sister's struggle to see and breath.
