(There was a problem with the update, it showed chapter ten before I published nine. Please forgive the intrusion)

*Kitanna's POV*

I pushed the button that released the blade on Donnie's staff. Being careful not to prick him, I sliced the vines away.

"Donnie?" I whispered. Nothing happened. All he did was breath gently.

I picked him up army style and carried him through the hole I created. Sadly, there were not so nice house keepers blocking the exit.

Gah, I thought. I need to find another way out.

Donnie's weight began to get to me as I ran looking for another point of exit. He was normally light, considering his thin bone structure. But for some reason he felt... Unusually thick.

The air in the jungle we were in began to grow dense and foggy. My eyes stung and my throat burned. I was getting weaker by the second.

Finding a small opening in the structure, I practically crawled over to it, Donnie barely scraping the ground.

I detracted my claws and sliced the opening a bit larger. I brought Donnie closer to it and put his head out so he could get fresh air.

I stuck my head out as well to regain my sense of reality. Noticing a small ledge below, I pushed Donnie through the hole, sending him down towards the ledge.

He landed right on it, thank goodness, and I climbed out after him. The fresh air hit me like a bus. I coughed out the poisonous air in my lungs and replaced it with the somewhat clean New York air.

I crawled over to Donnie. He was cut, bruised and not moving, other than breathing. I couldn't tell if the others were close or far, but I did know that if these vines weren't dealt with, they would consume a lot more than area.

With regained strength, I picked Donnie up and hoisted him onto a building top. I crawled up after him, making sure nothing grabbed him down.

I decided to try it a second time. The sound waves and vibrations would surely cause the vines to shatter, especially since they're weeds. The thorns were going to break easily, causing a domino reaction that would send the vines popping like balloons in a cactus shop.

I took a deep breath and let it out. I composed myself and...

*Leo's POV*

I cut away another vine. Raph and I were being swamped now.

"You think she's alright in there?" I asked Raph, blocking another one.

"I hope so, she's been in there a while." he replied, stabbing more attackers.

A large mist began to crawl out of the replica of Snake and filled the air with an oxygen stealing thickness.

We coughed and sputtered, trying our best to keep our eyes open. I felt heavy and could barely move. I had been around this stuff too long.

"*cough*Leo!" Raph called, running up to me.

I didn't realize it, but I had fallen on the ground. Everything around me began to grow fuzzy.

"Leo!" A green figure with a red mask called, looking at me.

I couldn't reply. I couldn't move. Everything began to grow dark as I felt the ground rumble.

A bone shattering roar filled the air.
