*Raph's POV*
I moped around the lair like a lost puppy. Kitanna didn't answer the several times I called and I knew why she didn't pick up.
She was disappointed. More than that, she was probably frightened. Why couldn't I control myself?! I probably just lost all the respect she had for me in one minute flat.
Leo apparently saw my moping, even through my attempted cover of anger.
"Raph?" The words were basically saying themselves.
"She won't pick up. I don't know whether to be worried, angry or..." I trailed off. I almost spilled the secret to another brother.
"I understand," Leo replied, shocking me. Normally he would push me to tell him what was wrong, which would end up with us arguing. I guess he felt the same I did.
Guilty.
"Uh... guys?!" Donnie called from his lab.
The urgency in his voice made me move to the lab faster than I would have.
"What is it, Donnie?" Leo asked, showing up right beside me.
"Mikey's T-phone is sending out cracked messages and broken signals," he explained. "It's broken."
I was really worried now. Mikey would never break his T-phone, not even if he had to. "Where is the signal coming from?" I asked.
"It's coming from the giant central system. Where all the pipes lead to."
"We have no time to lose. Lets move!" Leo ordered.
We all raced out of the lair. Only one thing was on my mind.
Please be safe.

*Leo's POV*
We arrived at the central pipe system in a heartbeat. There was all sorts of muck and grime, but no sign of Mikey or Kitanna.
"Don, I thought you said it was here!" I called over the waterfall of sewer water.
"It is! Look!" Donnie called back.
I looked where he was pointing and saw a broken mechanical device. Under it was a small plastic shell.
It was Mikey's T-phone.
I hurried over to it and noticed that it wasn't badly damaged, just cracked and the battery was broken in two.
"This is bad," I said. "Mikey doesn't go anywhere without this."
"He must have run so fast that it fell out of his pocket. He must be above ground!" Donnie exclaimed.
"Then what are we waiting for?" I asked, rushing to the nearest manhole.
Be safe, little brother.

*Mikey's POV*
I rushed across the rooftops holding the poisoned body of Kitanna as tightly as I could.
This was just like the poison Raph had been injected with when Fishface bit him, only this time it was stronger.
I had no idea where I was going, but anywhere but that single rooftop was the better choice.
Kitanna's eyes were dilated and were an assortment of colors. She wasn't sick in any other way besides being loopy and barely moving.
I heard the pitter patter of feet following me. I turned to see an angry Karai staring blades at me. She was right on our tail, as well as thirty or so foot soldiers.
There had to be someway out of this! I hopped down to the corresponding building and hid in a giant vent.
I set Kitanna down, who seemed to be gaining conscious again, and peeked through the bars of the gate.
Karai was so close I could smell her heavily applied make up. I held my breath and hopped for the best.
Karai growled and yelled at her followers. "Search every rooftop if you have to! Remember, father said only if we were given the opportunity to kill her. It's the other that we're after!"
And with that, all of them vanished into the night.
I breathed a sigh of relief and kicked the gate off once more. I crawled out and carefully pulled Kitanna out too.
"We have to get you an antidote," I whispered.
Then I remembered: Kitanna had a lab in her house. That's where I could find the stuff to heal her!
"Don't worry, Kitanna. I'll heal you. Which way to your place?"
I looked around before determining where to go. We were on the west side of the city: the most dangerous. I quickly found a flag pole that was facing north and ran in that direction.
I had to hurry. I ran as fast as I possibly could, stumbling a few times, but recovering.
We made it there just in time. Kitanna had begun to cringe at the affects of the poison.
I quickly opened the hatch and ran into her science lab. All I had to do now was figure out which chemicals to use.

*Raph's POV*
"We've already checked here, guys!" I called across the building tops.
"Well, we already checked the north end of town and the south!" Donnie called.
"And I highly doubt he went to the west side with all the crime by himself, Raph," Leo replied using his sarcastic leader voice.
"Well, he has Kitanna with him," I mumbled.
Apparently Donnie heard me. "You mean your girlfriend?" He mocked.
I felt steam burning off my head. I went to tell a comeback, but I remembered why Mikey left in the first place.
Plus, a noise behind me caused me to stop my retort. I turned around and felt my heart begin to speed up.
Leo growled behind us. "Karai."
