*Donnie's POV*
I ran towards Leo, whom had been pinned by the crazed Kitanna. I pulled it my Bo staff and readied myself to swing.
Kit had a claw ready to slice at Leo, but I ran full force and swung at her with all my might.
I knocked her far back into the woods. I winced at the sight and sound of her hitting a tree trunk.
I helped Leo to his feet and turned my attention back to Kitanna. She was standing, swaying back and forth clutching her head.
"What should we do?" I asked Leo.
"I... I really don't know..." He looked at me. "Was that really her?"
"What do you mean?"
"Was she doing that by force or free will?"
I pondered the proper answer for the question. "The chemical in the syringe I found in that shack was an anger inducing syrum. And with her unstable half mutant DNA, her emotions bring out the beast."
"Well that's not good," Leo replied.
We hopped out of the way of another attack.
"That's an understatement," I stated. "We have to find a way to stop her anger!"
"Well, I highly doubt she's up for meditation!" Leo replied angrily.
I had to think quickly. She was fighting full force and blinded by rage. There was no time for me to make an antidote, and the answer wasn't as clear as it should have been.
"Maybe if she had a swift hit to the head she would have it knocked out of her!" I called over to Leo whom was climbing up a tree, being chased by the crazed cat.
"If you say so!" Leo hollered back, stopping mid climb. He lifted his foot up and waited for Kitanna to get close enough to hit.
Once she was in kicking range, Leo brought his foot down forcefully on the girl's head. She cried in cat-like agony, releasing her grip from the tree. Landing with a thud, she remained lying down, eyes closed.
Silence filled the air. Nobody moved or breathed. Even Casey and April knew the danger of breaking the quiet.
"Is she unconscious?" I asked, interrupting the silence.
A low growling sound emitted from the girl lying on the ground. Her eyes flew open and were even more crazed than before.
"Nope, just ticked!"
Leo hopped from the tree right as Kitanna leapt up and clawed at him.
"Bring her closer to me, I have an idea!" I said.
Leo did not hesitate to leap over to the tree branch I was on. Kitanna followed.
I readied my Bo staff and swung with all my strength, hitting her right on the head.
A sickening crack sounds and the cat fell. We waited a moment to see if she was going to leap up again, but she didn't.
We hopped down and checked on her.
Leo nudged her with his foot. "Kit? You back?"
"..." Silence.
"Hey, Kit! Wake up!" Leo called into her cat ear.
"...ugh, I feel like I was hit by a freight train," she stated tiredly.
We sighed in relief. "It's good to know that you're back and not angry," I stated.
"What? When was I angry?" She asked, confused.
"You don't remember anything that just happened?" Leo asked.
