*Splinter's POV*

My sons and I carefully made our way up the steps, doing our best not to make a sound.

If the Shredder hurt either of my children I will personally tear him apart with my bare hands.

"Alright, what should our next move be?" Donatello asked quietly.

"We need to find out what they are planning," Leonardo replied silently. "Be careful, there might be traps."

We reached the top of the stairs and crept along the walls. A door sat on the left wall, waiting for us to enter it.

"The enemy is in there," I uttered so quietly I didn't know if they would hear.

Leonardo nodded. Raphael and Donatello pulled out their weapons, ready for battle.

"Enter with caution," Leonardo stated after checking the entrance. "I didn't see anyone, so it's more than likely a trap."

"I agree. Be careful, my sons."

*Mikey's POV*

My everything hurt. I couldn't feel my arms, or my legs, nothing except the beating of my heart and my lungs manually pumping air in and out of my body.

I looked over at Kitanna who was laying motionless, her chest barely moving as she breathed.

Whatever Shredder put in the needle was doing its job. I was terrified of what it was doing to her. After that little episode in the previous room, I couldn't imagine what would really happen when (if she did) wake up.

The room we were in was at the top of the tower. There was a large, gaping hole on the opposite side of the large room. There was machines and electrical wires everywhere. Nothing seemed to work, though. It was all dead and lifeless.

This is all my fault, I thought. If I hadn't run away, Kitanna would be safe and my family wouldn't be in danger...

Karai was setting up some traps all around the room, Dogpound stood at the large hole and Shredder guarded Kitanna and I. He stood with his hands behind his back, staring down at Kitanna with odd flickers of emotions going through his eyes. He seemed to be feeling sad...

The Shredder, sad? Not likely.

I heard a noise and my attention snapped towards the entrance to the room. I glanced over to see four figures fly in and immediately disappear into the shadows.

I grew worried as Dogpound's nose began moving and he began sniffing the air. He turned from his position and began scanning the area for whatever he had picked up.

"Master Shredder," Dogpound growled with a grin. "They're here."

*Raph's POV*

"They're here," came the horrid voice from the mutant dog.

"Find them. We wouldn't want them to miss the final event, now would we?" Shredder replied in a cold voice. Moments ago he had been looking down at Kitanna as if he was sad for her.

I looked over to Leo who was hiding above an air duct. He looked over at me and mouthed the words, "Stay hidden".

No problem. I leapt up to a large water pipe, slipping slightly as I stuck the landing. The pipe was cool and it felt as if water was still pumping though it.

Donnie and Splinter were nowhere to be seen. Which could be a good thing, and it also could be a bad thing.

I looked down below me to see that Dogpound was sniffing the air and walking in miscellaneous directions, following any scent he picked up.
