*Kitanna's POV*

The gigantic weed tightened it's vines around my torso and mouth, as if trying to kill me before I was brought in front of the Shredder.

What could he possibly want to see me for? To kill me? That wouldn't do much, except slightly appease his thirst for blood. You'd think that after the countless times he's tried to finish me off and failed he would just give up.

Thorns pierced my skin, making me flinch in pain. The evil plant laughed at my pain, tightening the vines even more.

He walked for a few more moments, a small shack pulling into view.

"Well, I'd love to keep you to chat and all, but..." He flung my body, full force, into the ground. I felt dizzy and couldn't move.

"I think Shredder will enjoy your conversation much more," he finished, a twisted smile appearing on his lips.

He trudged away, leaving me paralyzed and blurry visioned. I felt unnaturally heavy, as if I had been filled full of lead.

I tried my best to move, but had no prevail. A loud squeaking sound filled my ears and the sound of wood scraping concrete enveloped my attention.

I felt an unwelcome presence. I growled deeply as two large, furry hands hoisted me up and into the shack.

I was thrown, not very gently, I may add, into a corner where three figures stood. Bradford's huge furry body, a female about my age and a pin cushion.

Shredder.

He approached me, with a bit of pride in his steps. I growled lowly as he knelt down beside me.

"Foolish girl, did you really think you could hide from me?"

"Where is Michelangelo?" I gritted my teeth to keep from shouting.

He huffed at my response. "Here you face the possibility of death, and you worry about Yoshi's youngest son. How idiotic," his deep voice bellowed.

His gauntlet unsheathed, the blades dangerously close to my face. "Karai," he beckoned my sister.

"Yes, father?" She replied.

"Bring the supplies. And be slow about it," he brought the blades to my neck. "I think our traitor deserves a little lesson."

My sister bowed quickly and scurried off to get who knows what.

Shredder turned back to me. "I can't kill you. Not yet. However," he pulled his blades from my neck and looked me over.

He smirked under his metal mask and brought the blades across my cat ears, chopping out a triangle in my right ear.

I hissed in pain, trying my best not to give him the pleasure of seeing me in agony.

"I can still make you suffer," he finished his previous sentence. He brought the blades to my arms, cutting them and causing sticky, red liquid to ooze out of my body.

Each cut began getting deeper and deeper until the pain was unbearable. I was lying in my own blood, I had lost so much that I had to force my eyes to stay opened.

He brought the blades above his head to slash once more, but was cut off by a voice.

"Father," Karai stated, bringing over a tray.

Shredder sheathed his blades and walked over to my sister. He brought back a rope and gag, tying me up and covering my mouth.

Returning to Karai, he grabbed another tool, exchanging soft words with her. She nodded, bowed, and went to the doorway. She paused, turned and leaned against the doorframe, her eyes showing her hunger for blood. Shredder laughed lowly and smiled at her, pleased she wanted to see my pain.

He then came back to me and started talking in a hushed tone.

"You really believe that I am not your father, don't you. This is where I tell you that your 'father' isn't the rat. I am the one who raised you. I brought you up in this diabolical world," he laughed and held out a syringe filled with a dark yellow liquid. "And I can take you out."

Right as he finished his statement he plunged the needle into my neck. I yelped slightly from the pain, and felt the liquid begin filling my bloodstream.

My vision grew foggy and my breathing slow. I looked at the one I had called sister for all the years of my life and saw fear flitting in her eyes.

Don't look at me like that... I heard Karai's voice in my head. You deserve this.

I stared as best I could with my heavy eyes into her amber ones. Have I done anything to deserve this?

Her face filled with shock. But she eased back to her stern expression. You betrayed me. You deserve death.

I felt my body being pulled into unconsciousness. I am... Not the one... Who has betrayed... You... I made... A promise... And intend to keep... To keep it.

And then my life grew dark.

*Karai's POV*

I watched as my sister grew limp. In all truth, I had no idea what was in the syringe, or if she would live. I only knew that father said it would cause her unwanted pain.

And she deserved it. Telling me she would keep her promise, and how? Fighting on the other side? Some solving that does.

Father came over to me, Bradford on his tail. "Go on, Karai. Find them. Make sure they understand our predicament."

"I will, father." I smiled. This was what had to be done. Hamato Yoshi killed my mother. He needed to suffer as much as my father and I did.

I left the shack, hunting for three turtles and their master.

*Leo's POV*

"We can't all go look for her, it would set us back," Donnie stated.

"Well, we can't not look for her!" Raph cried.

"Easy, Raph. What if we split up and looked for her?" I asked, looking to Sensei.

"What about Michelangelo? How will we look for him?" Sensei questioned, worry etched in his voice.

"Hmm..."

We all thought for a moment until a laugh filled the air behind us.

"Hello, turtles. And I see your master is here too. This is all too perfect."

I frowned and turned around. "Karai..."
