*Donnie's POV*
What did she mean she needed Mikey? What would she need him for? All these questions buzzed around me as the Foot Clan attacked.
We fought with all we could, but they seemed to keep coming. Kitanna was blinded, but her half-mutant-cat instincts kicked in for her. She "saw" with her ears and nose.
I stuck close to Mikey, worrying about what Karai had said. I know I hurt him earlier and said some real awful things, but... that didn't mean I wanted to lose him.
Once the Foot soldiers were taken care of, Raph helped Kitanna to the lair. Mikey and I held up the rear of the group in case more soldiers were following.
I felt awful about what I had said earlier. I went to apologize, but Mikey spoke first.
"Guys, I get the feeling we're not alone..."
"What do you mean Mikey?" Leo questioned.
"They're following us... We can't go back to the lair. We have to go somewhere else," Mikey replied.
"Where do you suggest?" I asked.
Mikey looked to the blinded Kitanna. "Kitanna, is it alright if we-"
"Hello again." A fiendish female voice called out of the darkness.
"Karai, can't you give it a break?!" Raph bellowed. "We know what you did last time. You don't want to do this!"
Something flashed through Karai's eyes. It looked like recognition of the subject and how it was true. Whatever it was, she shook it away. I won't let some menacing turtles... or my sister... stop me from completing my mission!" She whistled a high tune.
Nothing happened at first, but then the ground rumbled. Mikey and I fell as everyone else supported themselves with the building structures.
I gasped as the giant green figure appeared from the horizon. Snake.
----------------------------------------------
*Raph's POV*
"Snakeweed!" Mikey gasped, sitting on the ground.
The giant mutated weed came up to the building Karai was on. "You called," he hissed.
"You know what to do," Karai replied hesitantly. She went to walk away, but then she called, "And if given opportunity, take her too." Then she disappeared into the dark.
"Ahh, the turtles. Long time no see," he growled. "My apologies, but it seems I may need to acquire your youngest brother... and the girl..."
"Over my dead body," Donnie and I snapped, me pulling Kitanna close, and Donnie, now standing, in front of Mikey.
"I'll give you another chance before things get messy. Hand them over!" He leered.
"Never!" Leo called, drawing his katanas.
"Suit yourselves." He extracted all his vines and threw them at us.
"Whoa!" We called, pulling the two wanted people onto the rooftop.
"Kitanna," I stated.
"Yes?" She asked looking at me with her red-yellow, irritated eyes.
"If you couldn't tell, we're in battle. Can you see?" I questioned.
She blinked a few times, the redness dissipating. "Yes, I can see. What is that?"
"A mutated criminal. You ready to fight?"
She smirked and her ears flickered. She extended her claws and grinned her cat grin.
I smiled back. "Good. Be careful," I stated before leaping into battle. She wasn't far behind me.
The only question that flew through my mind was, why were they after Mikey?
---------------------------------------------
*Kitanna's POV*
The gigantic weed flung vines from every direction. I sliced them, but they kept growing.
"Aim for the legs! They take longer to regenerate! Oomph!" Leo hollered, being taken out by a vine. He lost one of his katanas and had one arm tied down to his body with the plant.
Dodging vine attacks, I hopped over and cut Leo loose. "How do we stop someone that regenerates constantly? Something tells me you've fought him before," I explained.
"The best way to take this guy out is-" we dodged another vine.
"-Is to make sure he can't get away!" He finished.
I nodded and growled lowly. Why did Karai do this? Why would she choose the Shredder's side when she knows the truth?! And why on earth does the Shredder need Mikey?
I hoped up onto the building top and looked down at the scene below. If I leapt down at this angle...
Perfect. I readied my claws and jumped down towards the beast's legs. I began spinning slightly, and once I made impact with the weed, it was gone within a second.
"Nice!" Raph called.
The beast screeched as it fell to the ground. The vines flailed around in every direction. I dodged with all I could, trying to escape the vines path of travel.
I felt a tingling sensation fly through my mind. Pain surged into my head and my nerves began to tighten.
Oh no! Not here! Not now!
---------------------------------------------
*Raph's POV*
I leapt down from where I was and began stabbing and cutting the vines away. Snake was going to get a little piece of my mind for this.
My anger flew away as I noticed Kitanna's running speed had become painful for her.
"She's having a precognition!" Donnie called, perplexed and worried.
Without a moment hesitation I ran over and scooped her up. I hurried her over to an alley far from the commotion.
"...Raph..." she breathed.
"Yes?"
"I want... to help..."
I chuckled lightly. "Just allow your brain thing to pass, then you can help all you want," I patted her head for some odd reason and raced back into battle.
---------------------------------------------
*Kitanna's POV*
The vision was all too clear. It wasn't pretty either a building so high up that the ground could be seen.
A dark figure was falling beside me. Another green figure was as well.
Then the ground became visible.
And we were hurdling towards it.
"Ah!" I lightly screamed as the vision dissipated.
What did it mean? What was going to happen? Why...?
I didn't have time to think. I had to help the others.
I ran out of the alley and clawed all vines that I could.
I looked over and saw Mikey cutting vines as well, but there were so many they were swarming him.
I leapt over and blocked the vines path of travel.
But as soon as I did that, the vines grew taller and began to block any light from coming in. They grew so thick that we couldn't cut a dent in them.
We were trapped.
