Chapter 29

A week had passed with hesitant glances and awkward greetings and y/n was still patiently waiting for Steve to become normal with her or at least treat her like an acquaintance, not a stranger.

Her thoughts were rudely interrupted by honking, she looked at her left in annoyance. Damon raised his eyebrows and mentioned their surroundings.

She looked around and saw they reached mystic falls and the car was in front of the vampire's tomb.

y/n did a little oh and opened the door to get out of the car. "You seem a little distracted," Damon said before following her actions. She didn't reply and walked inside it.

Katherine was sitting at the edge, her hair disheveled, eyes darkened. y/n looked at her and a few empty blood bags near her, "you look like shit" she said standing over her.

Katherine looked up, her veins popping out, "well, thanks dearie" she hissed. "You don't look good yourself either, does it involve your pretty boyfriend rejecting you after seeing you that day?" she said with a smirk.

"Hey, that's enough," Damon shouted, coming into view. Katherine tilted her at her, "aww you are soft on her huh? I had thought you two would end together, but of course, you had to go after my doppelganger, love me that much huh?"

The shit she was blabbing didn't make much sense and y/n didn't go there for that so she spoke before Damon could start cussing at Katherine.

She sat down on Katherine's level and held the blood bag in front of her. Katherine instantly tried to move forward but couldn't reach the bag.

"If you want this, tell me everything," y/n said in a composed voice, though she just wanted to rip that bitch's heart out.

Katherine sighed in annoyance and rolled her eyes, "I've told everything to that fucker. I don't know where he is, never interfered in hydra's matters unless I needed protection. All I know is they brainwashed him and trust me it is much worse than compulsion" Katherine spoke and for some reason, y/n believed her. She turned and looked at Damon, who just nodded.

"Apparently the originals can compel us, she is under Klaus's compulsion, couldn't lie."

y/n sighed and decided whether to give her blood or not. Katherine understood her intentions so she spoke instantly before y/n could stand, "they kept freezing and defrosting him, I doubt he remembered anything because of the times he has been brainwashed." she kept telling and y/n kept looking downwards feeling a wave of fury inside her.

"They released him a few years ago to kill and then I never heard of him, probably frozen him again. Maybe he'll be released again? To kill the threat against hydra" y/n looked up at her words.

The threat against hydra?

"You know their secrets too, right? And now your boyfriend is back, maybe your golden trio will reunite soon?" she winked. But y/n kept looking at her for a moment before throwing a bag inside and getting out of the tomb.

She kept walking away from the tomb to get some air. Her mind couldn't stop thinking about the torture he had to go through, the killings he had done.

"Don't think too much love" a sudden voice startled her causing her to flinch. Klaus stood beside her and gave her an apologetic smile.

"I thought it would be easy as we found her" she scoffed. Klaus sighed, "don't need to lose hope. We will find him"

She turned towards him and raised an eyebrow. "What? Of course, I'll help you, if I won't Elijah would. We can compel her; she knows a lot of hydra's secrets so she will be of use.
