CHAPTER THIRTY SIX

Chapter Thirty Six

*BELLA'S P.O.V*

"I've made my decision, you guys can come back up" I had typed into my phone and my finger hovered over the "SEND" button. I wasn't sure if I had completely made my decision just yet. For what felt like hours, I've been laying here in bed, going back and forth, contemplating and weighing out pros and cons. On the one hand, I knew that me accepting their decision and staying with them was the obvious and best choice; buht on the other hand, I didn't want to accept their offer -for my own selfish reasons of course- I shook my head and blinked at my phone. No time to think about that now. I pressed the "SEND" button quickly before I changed my mind again. I sat back down and bit my nails, waiting. It wasn't long before I got a text back from Darcy saying, "Are you sure ? We're on our way up". "Well," I sighed, "This is it... No turning back now" I whispered to myself and waited.

*DARCY'S P.O.V*

*IN THE CAFETERIA*

I nearly jumped out of my seat when I got Bella's text -mainly because my phone was on vibrate, and since it was on the table, well, you know- "Why are you so jumpy?" Daniel asked, trying to cover up a laugh. "That was Bella," I said as he took my hand in his, "she- she's ready for us..." I said, and as I said this, I could feel my heart beat gradually increasing. "Well," he said, "let's go then!" He finished his sentence. I sighed heavily and walked over to the table the Freeman's were seated at. 

When I approached the table, they were smiling at each other. I can in the middle of their conversation, but I could guess that they were talking about their soon-to-be newborn baby because I heard Mr. Freeman saying, "Okay, okay, buht if its a boy, he's playing every sport out there !". At first they didn't seem to notice me, and I didn't particularly mind because quite frankly, it was cute seeing them being so in love. I was enjoying their love. When they finally noticed me, they looked at me with the same big smiles. "hi, uhm-" I said awkwardly scratching my head, "Bella said that she's ready for us" I spoke uncharacteristically soft. As I spoke, I saw that their smiles faltered a bit, as if reality had just given them a nasty wake up call. They looked at each, and simultaneously took deep breathes before Mr. Freeman said, "Okay" and they got up. We walked together to the elevator, and entered it in complete silence. Daniel pressed the number for Bella's room, and we all waited... As we ascended, I found myself feeling a bit panicked now, because all I kept thinking was, "I hope Bella made the right choice" I thought this over and over until I heard the *DING* of the elevator. My heart dropped. It was now or never.

*BELLA'S P.O.V*

Why were they taking so long? Where could they possibly be?? Could they have left already !? I found myself getting all worked up again. Then, remembering the reason I was here in the first case, I tried to calm myself down and it seems to work. Well, that is, until I heard voices outside my door. My heart was beating rapidly against my chest! I didn't wanna be here anymore! I looked around the room, and then the window. Maybe I could jump out? No that would be stupid! I looked at the bathroom door, maybe I could hide there and they could think that I was gone? Stop being so fucking stupid Bella ! I looked at the door as I heard the door handle being turned. "Hey" Darcy smiled, walking into the room, followed by daniel and then the Freeman's. "Hi" I smiled weakly, and before more could be said, I spoke immediately, "So uhm, I have thought about you guys' offer... And-" I stopped in the middle of my sentence. This is the last chance. After this what i decide is permanent. I couldnt form words. I swallowed hard, and continued, "I would love to come live with you guys!" I said, trying to sound more optimistic than I felt...
