CHAPTER FIFTY NINE
*LUKE'S P.O.V*
Bella had fallen asleep about an hour ago. I on the other hand, couldn't sleep at all; so I stayed up and watched her as she slept peacefully. At least, I think I was awake; to be honest everything still felt a bit unreal to me. I'm not talking about what just happened between us; but everything that happened between us all together.

We went from strangers, to friends, to best friends and now... She's my girlfriend ! I finally got the girl ! The girl that I fell in love with the moment I got to know her; the girl who just changed my view of the world completely; the girl that I love ! True she drives me crazy and can be the most difficult person at times, and is stubborn as hell ! But dammit that's what makes me love her more ! It makes me want to stick around because I honestly cannot imagine life without her. Everything about her is just so fucking perfect ! How is it possible that one person could mean this much to you ?

I gently ran my fingers through her hair as a small smile appeared on her still sleeping face. It took all the strength I had not to kiss her. I swear I'm going to marry this girl one day ! I couldn't take it anymore ! I leaned in, just to give her a peck on the lips, when I heard incessant vibrating on her dressing table.

I exhaled deeply through my nose and got out of bed carefully, trying not to wake her. I stepped on multiple articles of clothing as I edged closer and closer to the dressing table. I finally got to the dressing table, and I looked around the room before even touching the phone.

The room was a complete mess ! My clothes were lying all over the place; her clothes were lying all over the place ! My underwear was in the far and of the room, her bra stood at the foot of the bed. The sheets were out of place and all over the bed; my T-shirt ended up on the wardrobe somehow. I looked down at my feet, only to find that I was standing on her panties.

I shook my head when I remembered that her phone was still ringing ! I turned around and picked the phone up. It was Darcy. What's wrong now ? I answered the phone and out it to my ear.

"Hey Darcy !" I sighed. "Luke ?" She said, clearly confused, "why are you answering Bella's phone ?" She asked. "Because she hired me as her assistant!" I answered sarcastically, slightly annoyed. "Fuck you !" She said, and in the back of my mind I could imagine her showing middle finger to the phone. "Look do you think you could five the phone to Bella ? There's something I have to tell her!" She said, and by the tone of her voice, I knew it was something serious. "Well," I said, turning my head to face the bed, "Bella's sleeping right now ! Can I-" "sleeping !? Up until a few hours ago she was wide awake ! She was supposed to be here hours ago ! Why is she-" she stopped her ranting as suddenly as she started it; as if realising something, "never mind ! Don't even tell me !" She said. Something told me that she figured out why Bella was so tired. "Luke," she said, her tone softening, "I really need to speak to Bella ! Do you think you guys could come over? Like really soon ?" She asked. She was definitely starting to worry me now. "Darcy what's wrong ?" I asked, worry seeping in just a little. She was quiet, all I could hear was breathing before, "just- make sure she gets here !" She said, and then hung up before I could say anything else.

I looked at the phone, completely confused and slightly worried. It definitely seemed like something serious ! But why was it so serious that she couldn't talk over the phone ? I zoned out for a while; wondering what the hell could be happening, before I snapped out of it and I looked at the phone's screen.

It was still opened on the message that the Freemans sent. I scrolled past the text and looked at the picture of Jacob. He really was a beautiful little boy ! He was lying down on a bed, looking right up at the camera with his arms extended and a huge open mouthed smile on his face. His eyes are what stood out the most. Big and hazel. He seemed genuinely happy in the picture; and I guess I understand why that's so hard for Bella.
