"Tell me on good reason I shouldn't throw you in our jail that's gaurded by 13-year-old children."
"Because... I'm cool."
"YOU STABBED FIVE PEOPLE, EZRA, AS THE CHICKEN!"Jade yelled at me, we were in some underground interrogation room. It was sorta scary, besides the fact there were cookies.
"I thought I was bad cop, Jade. We talked over this... I'm bad cop- your the good cop."Beatriz frowns.
"Babe, shut up."Jade sighs.
"Wait... you guys are dating?"I bite into a burnt cookie, slowly spitting it back into a potted plant.
"Yes."Beatriz smiles.
"No."Jade keeps a stern look. "LOOK, THAT'S BESIDES THE POINT- ARE YOU AWARE THAT YOU STABBED AT LEAST FIVE PEOPLE, AS CHICKEN! YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO HURT PEOPLE AS CHICKEN!"Jade yells."YOU SAID DON'T TOUCH THE WEAPONS! I DIDN'T EVEN PICK THEM UP, TECHNICALLY!"I shrugged, putting another cookie into my mouth.
"It checks out."Beatriz slid down her black sunglasses, eyeing me up and down. "TO YOUR LIVING QUARTERS WITH YOU!"Beatriz shews me away, I go up the stairs, looking over my map of the "sanctuary" Yeah right, all they've done is try to kill me and feed me burnt cookies.I walk to the "Greed" bunks, it was underground too, and decorated with a hoarding vibe. Jewerly decorated the walls, along with paintings, and not to mention the treasure chests scattered about.
"Good job out there, dude!"Someone fist bumps me, I smile. Wow... what a good day. I think, laying on my top bunk... but then I remember- Ellisse was out there somewhere, alone and cold. That is, if she was alive. I grab a pillow, screaming into it. Okay... there had to be a deadline for how long it took to get taken to heaven, right? I take the pillow off, searching the room. I spotted a bookshelf, grabbing off a book and climbing back up my bunk. This book was on angels... and spirits. After a good long read, I figured out that for a blessed familiar spirit, it took seven days to go to heaven... that's how long I had to track down my sister...and I already wasted one waking up here. "Hey. Nice earrings."A kid pokes her head out from under the bottom bunk, I quickly close the book.
"Ah, thanks- They're the symbol of greed, an eye with a money sign."I smile.
"Oh... I'm familiar with the symbol of greed."The girl smirked, I scooted away. "Ezra."I take out my hand for her to shake it, "Allysa."She shook it."Ya know, it was funny, what you did out there. Jade's just grumpy 'cause you replaced their past boyfriend."Allysa fiddled with her bandanna around her neck.
"Is that why they nearly misnamed me that one time..?"I thought out loud.
Allysa seemed cool, she had this chill aura to go with her red bandanna and ginger hair.
"So, what's up with you?"She asked, I look at her, confused."Most children of the princes and other demons have something messed up in the head, I set cars on fire."Allysa grinned.
"Oh, that's... nice. Mammon killed my mom when I was little.""Sounds like classic childhood trauma, you'll fit right in, Ezra."
