Come inside.

It was the middle of the night, we were wet with rain and sweat, tired, and our legs were sore. We used every penny on train rides and tried to hitch-hike once, but then we decided against it, since Erik thought the people in the car were angels in disguise. But, now we were in Utah, nearly to California, and then we would be in LA, almost to Heaven(which was ironic, since LA was anything but.)

"Oh, are you children lost?"An old womans voice called over, it sounded comforting, like a nice, warm hug.

"Uhm... no?"Loona said, looking over at the old woman. She was about 5'2, had wrinkly, dark skin, and a very warm looking house behind her.
"Well- would you like to come inside?"The old woman asked, a nice smile on her face. "Yes."Erik said.

And just like that, we had already walked into her house, taken off our shoes, and sat by her fireplace. Look, the lady seemed... so convicing... so sweet, almost like my mother. The fire felt like a hug as it warmed my cold skin, it was already morning... we had two days to do whatever our quest was about. Wait... what was our quest about, again? I brushed that thought off, I was just tired.

"Sleep, my children, I'll make cookies!"The old woman said, none of us replied. I nearly drifted off if it weren't for Erik shaking my shoulder.
"Dude... I don't- I don't think this place is safe..."He mumbled, pointing to some paintings on the wall. It took me a bit to focus, but when I did I was horrifed. The pictures depicted peoples souls being sucked out of them. "Don't panic. Probably weird art sense..."Loona rolled her eyes, lying on the couch. Soon, Aella let out a small squeak of fear.
"I think... we should panic."She took a human skull from the back of the fireplace.

"Sleep, children! Cookies are ready!"The old woman called over to us, making me want to sleep again. Erik shook my shoulder, Loona and Aella stood up, still ducking down so the old woman couldn't see us.
"What's the plan, Aella?"I asked, "Why me?"She whisper-yelled back.

"Because your the smart one."Erik whisper-yelled at her.
"Okay. Okay. Let's just- brainstorm. Were all stuck in this place. No way out, this woman's either an angel or a demon, and she doesn't seem very friendly... What do we do?"Loona asked, still whispering.

"We could... fight? Yeah, let's just fight like normal."Erik gave an awkward smile, I nodded and so did Loona. It took Aella a bit to comply, "Fine."She grumbled.
The old woman walked back, now she had grown small, sharp black horns, black wings, and huge claws to go with her fangs. We all jumped out from the couch like a surprise-party with weapons.

"SURPRISE, HAG!"Erik yelled, slashing his sword at her. The old woman smirked, simply walking out of the way, making Erik look super slow. The old woman simply snatched Erik's sword out of his hands, and then slashed at his arm.

"Agh!"He groaned backing away. "I gotchu!"I yelled, taking out my blade and stabbing at the old woman, who didn't seem so fond of it. So, she naturally spread her wings, grabbing Loona and Erik and flying through her roof.

"LOONA!"I yelled, we all ran out the front door. The old woman seemed bored, inspecting her claws. She held Loona at the ledge of the roof, about to drop her off. "Say your goodbyes, son of Mammon, oh, and to the lame sword too."She dropped Loona off the ledge, Loona had wide eyes as she landed on top of Aella. "OW!"Aella yelled at the old woman, who was slashing at Erik with her claws. The old woman flew fastly, and she fought fast too, with Erik's sword in hand, she managed to stab into his leg.

He winced, "Oh, you're gonna pay for that."He clenched onto his wound, sweeping the ladies feet and picking up his sword quickly.

The woman stood up, clawing at Erik, who almost fell off the ledge of the second-story roof, onto a cement floor(with no Aella for him to land on, mind you.)
"Goodbye."The demon hag smirked.
"Yup, goodbye to you."Erik waved, as if he already knew the plan that came into my head. I quickly climbed the roof, with a boost from Loona and Aella, and stood behind Demon hag.

Erik grew a buncha feathers, and you would expect him to turn into a cool owl harpy or something, but no. He turned into an owl and flew onto my shoulder. The old hag had wide eyes as I picked up Erik's sword and pushed her off the second-story roof, onto the cement, which didn't kill her(duh.) But gave Aella and Loona enough time to cut off the hag's head with a steak-knife so genorously placed on the back door barbeque.

"Job well done. Now, I believe we have a quest to do."I say, feeling a bit guilty that I forgot about it earlier.
