Erik shook and the feathers disapeared. "Sorry, sometimes that happens when I get excited..."He gave an awkward smile.
"Dude, after we kill that gargoyle, were gonna talk about this."Aella grabbed Erik's sword, rushing through the Subway's doors and cutting off the gargoyle's head at swift speeds. The gargoyle disapeared, turning into a pile of pebbles.
"Oh- YOU GO GIRL!"Loona cheered, clapping for Aella. Aella blushed, walking back. "Oh... heh, it was nothing- I learned it at my mortal bootcamp, but I know Erik collects those little shiny stones so...."She handed Erik a small stone, and he slipped it in his pocket."You guys- are awesome."I gave them all thumbs-up. Maybe I was a good leader.
"Now, I think we've got a sister to find!"Loona smiled before heading to the train station, we followed. Once we reached the train, I noticed that... there was a perfectly good train (going in the right direction, might I add) that was transporting hay nearby.
"Welp, looks like we'll just have some extra money."Erik jumped on an open train car. "Hurry up! It's gonna go soon!"He yelled over at us, I hopped on. Loona climbed on next, and then Aella.
We all sat down, Aella handed Erik his sword, and we just chilled. I lay back, But I can't shake off the feeling of someone or something watching me, and what the gargoyle said had made it worse. "She won't be the same when you find her"or something like that, what did that mean? It didn't make any sense... she'll always be the same. My cute, sometimes annoying, little sister.
"About the feathers... how long has this happened?"Loona broke the silence. "Eh, since I was really little."Erik stacked the stones in his pocket, adding the gargoyle one on top.
"Sooo, Mr.Maps, how much longer do we have?"Aella asked me. I looked down at the map, at all of its turns and labels. "Were almost to a landmark soon, and then a couple more after that. And then... we'll be in heaven."I showed them all the map.
"The land of Goody-two-shoes and... Cherubs"Erik said that last part with resentment, he shivered. Of course, though. Cherubs were little evil rodent-like killing machines.
"Andd... what do we do when we get into heaven?"Loona asked.
"Find my sister. I don't know how. But I know I Will find her."I made myself sound determined, though, I wasn't so sure.
"You guys are like- seriously the cooliest people I've ever met at the sanctuary."Aella muttered."Awww, thanks."Loona smiled at her.
"It's an honor."I joke, Aella chuckled. "But seriously, we should get rest. It's gonna be a long night."Erik grinned, leaning against a crate to sleep.Loona curled up in a ball, Aella lay next to her, and I sat there, watching the night sky. four days. And we were on our way to being... sort of close. But, I had made three really good friends, and I'd have a good story to tell my sister when she came back.
