"So, what now?"Erik asked, looking back at the gates of the Demi-demon camp closing.
"No idea... what was the quest again?"Loona questioned me, wow... was I the leader already..? I was not ready for this.
"My sister's missing, and we have nine days to find her."I look off into the distance, a city was sort-of close by. "I have a book, maybe it can help us... but first off- we'll need a form of transportation... but we have no way to pay..."I look at the cityscape.
"Oh! Beatriz gave me some mortal money!"Aella took some out of her pocket, showing all of us. "I still don't get why they use paper for money."Erik shook his head, "Butttttt, we should take the bus."He ran down the hill, into the city, Aella and I follow.
"WAIT! NOT ALL OF US HAVE LONG LEGS!"Loona yelled over, running after us.
Nearing the city, I had to breathe in... a not-very-friendly thing was near... and I could sense it.
"There!"Erik ran towards a bus that had stopped at a bus-stop. He payed the person inside, sitting down. "WATCHA WAITIN FOR?"Erik yelled through the window, I quickly did the same and sat next to him. Aella and Loona climbed inside after paying the person, too, so they sat down behind us.
"Dang... now we're down to 6.25... we need to spend more wisely."I scanned the bus, and then opened my book, a map fell out. "MAP! That usually means somethin' good!"Loona grabbed it, reading it. "It shows our facility... and there's a path to go by- but half of it is ripped."She shook her head in dissapointment.
"Hey, at least we don't have kitchen duty."Aella shrugged. I squint at her, and she looks back down at the map.
"Maybe... we can try to find the other pieces? Think, what steals maps?"Erik paused, the bus started to shake, and soon, small little winged-babies with razor-sharp teeth and red eyes throw themselves against the windows.
"CHERUBS!"We all yelled.
I pull out my dagger, but a cherub grabs it and breaks it in half. "OOOOOOOHHHHH SHOOT!"Loona screamed, throwing a glass bottle at one. I looked back at the mortal bus driver, she must've been terrifed.
"I GOT HER- YOU KILL SOME CHERUBS, QUEST LEADER!"Erik throws me his sword, and I barely catch it. He ran to the bus driver, helping her off.
I felt sort of nervous... I could never be a leader, much less one in a battle-against little monster angel-babies.
I unsheathe the sword, it was long and made out of an enchanted obsidion, dang... Erik knew how to make swords. I skewered two cherubs like a giant shish-kabob, and they exploded into small piles of white feathers. Loona shivered, stabbing another in the heart, and it did the same. Aella was busy stomping on monster-babies to notice me dominating with Erik's sword... and yet, it didn't feel right in my hands.
"Mortal's taken care of!"Erik boards the bus, watching us kill babies with a grin on his face. "So... You guys know how to drive a bus?"He finally asked as the last baby turned into a pile of feathers.
"I like the way you think, Athene."Loona hopped in the bus driver's seat.
