Heaven was overrated. There, I said it. I had blisters on my only good foot from walking, scratches all over my body, a broken ankle, and probably tons of trauma. Just to get to some grassy field with flowers. But, this was all for Ellisse, and I would do it 100 more times for her.
"Ladies first."Loona said, looking over at Erik. "Wha- Ughhh, fine."Erik walked in front of us, looking up at a floating eyeball, he instantly looked back down.
"Don't look in the eyes."He said, continuing to walk. "What did you see?"I asked, sort of concerned.
"The way I die."He shivered, "Ah, classic giant eye-ball stuff."Loona added. I looked over my map, we didn't have much time to find her. "The gates should be-"I was cut off, by Erik stopping me in my tracks.
"What is it..?"I whispered, trying to get a glance.
"Cherubs."Loona said, Erik cursed. I looked down, a pit of Cherubs sat in front of us.The little angels crawled around and jumped like pirhannas in a rushing river. "Erik... can you... fly- but, like, as a harpy?"Loona asked, looking over the horizon line. The pit seemed to go on for while, not enough for a couple Demi-demons to cut through, especially because of my broken ankle.
"I... dunno?"Erik shrugged, looking over the pit. "Let's find out!"He smirked, closing his eyes and concentrating. Which he did for a good five minutes before we put a stop to it.
"Listen, Einstein, you can't do it on command... can you?"Aella asked, Erik shook his head. "We'll just have to do it my way, then."Aella grinned, taking a WHOLE GRAPPLING HOOK from her backpack.
"How long have you had that?!"Loona asked, seemingly alarmed, and impressed. "Store clerk at the mall gave it to me before we left."She smiled"Well, let's test it out!"Erik smirked, I nodded. Aella fired the grappling hook at a tree, it wrapped around the biggest branch. She pulled on it to test it's sturdiness, and then grappled herself over the pit of cherubs.
"Alright, Loona, and then Ezra, and lastly Erik!"She yelled over, throwing the grappling hook at Loona, who caught it, barely.
After we all crossed, I saw them... the gates to Heaven. I nearly made a run for it, but I had a broken ankle, and Loona put her hand in front of us.
"They're not gonna just let any rando kids in, idiots."She shook her head, "Were gonna need to mask our Demon scents."She pointed to the huge white gaurd dog at the gate. It had golden eyes and was about 20 feet tall. "Right...I have perfume?"Aella took out a watermelon-scented perfume from her bag."Not that, Were gonna need angel-wing feathers."Loona smirked.
