Rounders With The Avengers

THIS WILL BE THE ACTORS NOT THE CHARACTERS!!! 😁

"______, do you want to bat first or field?" Robert asked.

"Bat of course." I smiled.

Scarlett, Jeremy, Chris H and I all walked over towards the batting box - well, four hoodies in a square.

"I'm really sorry guys but I'm rubbish at rounders" I said, as I was pushed up first to hit.

"Just do you best babe." Robert winked.

I went to vomit, making the noise and imitating it with my hands.

Everyone laughed.

Robert scowled at me as he threw the ball.

He threw it deliberately too high.

"No ball!" Chris H , familiar Australian accent filling my ears.

I was glad he was on my team.

"Just because I'm small!" I grumbled.

Robert smirked.

He threw the ball faultlessly towards me.

I smacked it with all my might and it went soaring through the air.

I jumped up and down with glee and my team mates cheered.

"Run!" Jeremy shouted.

"Oh yeah..." I said, as I set off running.

"Run Super Solider!" Robert shouted at Chris E who was sprinting after the ball.

I smiled.

I was almost past second base - a pile of stones, when Chris E picked up the ball and went to throw it to Tom who stood at fourth base.

I grumbled, I wouldn't make it back.

I stopped at fourth, just as Tom hit the base.

"Sorry darling but you have to stay here." Tom smirked.

I smiled.

He snaked his hand into mine, intertwining our fingers as we waited for Robert to throw the ball to Jeremy.

"Lets see what Hawkeye really is like." Robert teased.

Jeremy kept his face straight.

He went to hit the ball and skimmed it with his bat.

Robert surprisingly dashed forwards and caught the ball.

"Out!" Robert shouted

Scarlett was up next and she also got out.

I was relying on Chris H to let me get around to score us half a rounder.

He did hit it and it went flying.

I walked over to the batting box and picked up the bat.

Chris H made it to third before Robert got the ball.

Chris E stepped back away so he could stop me scoring any points and catch me out.

I smirked.

Robert threw the ball and I went to hit it hard, only hitting it so it landed on the other side of the field and it wasn't as far as last time.

I heard Chris E curse as he sprinted over towards the ball...

Robert threw the ball at me and I failed to catch it even though he was only a few metres ahead of me.

"If I couldn't catch that I'm standing at a..." I started.

"Bowling!" Chris H shouted.

"Base!" Jeremy and Scarlett shouted.

I groaned.

"But I can't catch." I cried.

"Don't worry, just throw it back to us." Scarlett said.

Robert was first, he didn't hit it very far so Jeremy picked it up.

He only made it to the second base.

Tom was up next.

I knew he could hit the ball so I stepped further back.

He smacked the ball really hard.

It came hurtling towards my face.

I took a small step backwards and placed my hands out in front of me.

The ball bounced, quite hardly, off my hands. I went to grab at it.

I saw Tom running past second base looking at me.

I grabbed at the ball and got a firm grip on it.

I smiled and jumped up and down.

"OUT!" Chris H beckoned.

"We've won!" Scarlett smiled.

They came charging towards me.

Chris H picked me up and placed me on his muscular shoulder.

Scarlett, and even Jeremy were smiling.

"Put me down!" I cried, blushing with embarrassment.

Tom had both of our hoodies over his arm as his other was wrapped around my waist.

"I didn't realise you were so good at rounders." Tom said.

"I liked to hit stuff... Balls... At school in P.E... But I could never really catch... Apart from the odd occasion." I said.

"You did brilliantly today darling... I only wish I was on your team, I hate losing." He grumbled the last part.

I smiled.

"It's not going to become a regular occurrence." He said.

"Oh, I think I will enjoy it if it does..." I smirked.

He kissed my forehead, squeezing me I into his side...

I'M THINKING OF DOING CHAPTERS LIKE THESE TOO BUT ALTERNATING WHO IS IN THE ROMANTIC ROLE OUT OF THE CAST AND THE SCENARIO... Of course...
