I sat alone in the Avengers Tower's personal library. Well, I made Tony build me one since I always had a book in hand.

I remember the memories that were made while it was being built...

"You might as well read as you fight in battle" Tony complained as he looked at the boxes of books I owned.

"Well sorry for liking to lose myself in the fiction world instead of be among guys oozing testosterone and ego." I smirked.

"That was uncalled for." he sulked.

"Us girls stick together, however Tony is right ... you do have a large collection of books." Natasha said.

"It's not that large, Tony has a larger collection of gadgets." I reasoned.

Natasha nodded smiling.

"Hold up, did you just agree with me on something?" Tony asked.

I smirked as Natasha crossed her arms defensively across her chest.

"You did!" Tony exclaimed in excitement.

"I so want to take it back now." Natasha mumbled.

"Oh no you can't." Tony said, smiling like a small child on Christmas.

"I'm going to find Wanda and go train." Natasha said, exiting the room as quickly as possible.

I was sat on the floor of my library. It wasn't much of a library, the shelves were eventually finished but the walls were a bare and cold white colour and there were no books filling and crowding the shelves.

As I sat on the floor I struggled to open a tin of beige paint.

I wanted this library to be filled with meaning and purpose, to have an old era to represent the many years it has taken me to build up my large collection.

Tony had wanted it to be modern and sophisticated, but he eventually lost that fight long ago.

"_____, would you like some help there?" Bucky asked as he watched me struggle from the doorway. He was lent against the doorframe flexing his muscles.

"N-no." I said, as I eventually popped open the tin, splattering paint all over me.

"I could help you paint the walls?" He asked.

"Oh... thank you that would be great." I smiled.

Bucky has recently broken his shell around me. He used to talk through Steve, but now he has formed a trustworthy relationship with me which was beautiful.

By the end of the afternoon Steve and Sam had also joined us as we painted the walls.

I was surprised with the amount of paint Tony had bought but at the end I was glad he had bought it in excess... Those boys can be really immature at times...

Yes you guessed it.

They started a paint war.

I smiled as Bucky left the room last complaining that his arm was a b**** to clean.

I was placing my books onto the shelves of my finally finished library. It sure held some beautiful memories.

But it was about to hold one that I wasn't quite prepared for.

I will admit I do have a slight crush on the God. I mean who wouldn't.

But he was never here, he was either away in Asgard protecting the realms, or he was away in England visiting Jane, Eric and Darcy.

I sighed as I placed some books on the shelves.

I missed his presence, he made my day brighter and he-

I was drawn from my thoughts as my hand came in contact with another as I reached into my box to grab another book.

"Lady _____" he smiled.

"Thor." I smiled, a light blush tinting my cheeks.

He pulled our intertwined hands out of the box and stepped closer to me.

"How was your visit to Asgard?" I asked.

"I did not return to my father, I went to visit Jane." he said.

My heart faltered and broke a little.

"We have broken our courtship off as her science career blossoms and I am always away trying to protect the Earth or the realms." he said.

"Oh, Thor I am so sorry." I said, giving his hand a comforting squeeze.

"It has made me realise I was blinded." he said.

"Blinded from what?" I asked.

"That the maiden I love is before me." he said...

Those memories were golden.

I smiled as I closed the book I was reading and looked around my library.

It had collected so many memories over the time we have been here...

I tugged down on my dress as I replaced my book on the shelf.

"Lady _____? Are you ready for the party?" Thor asked, stepping into the library.

Oh yes, Thor's leaving party... After regaining Loki's Sceptre Tony and Bruce ran some tests before bidding it fare well with Thor as he returns to Asgard.

"Yes." I sighed.

"I will return." He said, brushing some hair out of my face.

"In time." I smiled.

He nodded, capturing my lips with his.

I took one last look at my library before being led away by Thor's hand in mine.

I just hope Tony doesn't find a way to destroy my library. My sanctuary... My memory store.
