"Testosterone." I grumbled.

"______?" Helen asked, chasing after me down the hall.

"Why do men always fight within each other? I really don't mean to stereotype men because women can too. But why do they find it necessary? Things would be done a lot easier the faster they learnt how to work in a team!" I exclaimed, slamming my bedroom door open.

Helen smiled before sitting down on my bed.

I joined her, flopping down and crashing down on my back.

Exhausted.

"This is what he wanted." Helen spoke softly.

"Who? That Ultron thing?" I asked.

"Yes. He wanted them to fight. To fight each other." she said, lying back to join me.

"Fighting each other gets people nowhere." I sighed.

Helen stayed silent as she nodded in agreeance.

There was a gentle but harsh knock my bedroom door, waking me from my nap.

"Lady _____?" came Thor's familiar voice.

"Come in." I mumbled loud enough for him to hear, sitting up to realise Helen had gone and I had been asleep for almost three hours.

"I came to apologise Lady _______. Fighting will achieve us nothing." Thor spoke, as soon as he entered my room.

"It's okay Thor." I said, rubbing my eyes as I yawned.

Thor chuckled as he took in my tired state.

"It is not okay. We wasted valuable time arguing. We covered nothing. We wasted resources. We could have found Loki's sceptor again... if it weren't for the fact that emotions overpowered judgment." he said, hitting Mjolnir off of his palm.

"It's called testosterone Thor." I giggled.

"Test- Testosterone.." he played the word on his tongue.

"Males. And their hormones." I explained at his quizzical gaze.

"Ah. I see." he spoke, nodding.

"I guess I can forgive you... but please no more. Let's be civilised." I smirked.

"Civilised we shall be." he smiled, exiting my room backwards expertly without crashing into anything.

I must learn his technique.

"_____?" Steve's familiar voice called, as my bedroom door opened.

I refused to open my eyes.

Sleep was more important than his handsome face...

Sleep.

Steve...

Steve.

Sleep...

"______? I'm so sorry." Steve continued.

"I cannot apologise enough. And I hope you can forgive me. My greatest honour is keeping you safe. But I broke that last night... I failed you." he said, he sounded broken.

Steve...

"Steve. You don't need to apologise. And you definitely haven't failed me." I spoke groggily.

"I knew you weren't asleep." he smiled cheekily. "But that doesn't mean I didn't mean every word."

"I believe you Steve." I smiled.

"Bruce has found a lead." he said.

I groaned and rolled my eyes.

"No more Avenger talk for tonight. I just want to sleep." I sighed, falling back onto my pillow.

"Okay. I shall leave yo-" he started.

"Cou-could you stay with me?" I asked quietly.

"Of course." he smiled gently without hesitance.

I smiled in appreciation as Steve climbed into bed beside me.

"I love you ______." He spoke, wrapping me up in his embrace as he pressed a kiss to my temple.

"I love you too." I whispered, sleep overtaking me once again.
