I fight back a shout of frustration as Natsu continues to yawn when we approach the old temple. "Man, we finally come up with the perfect plan, and then we go and oversleep..." Natsu complains.
I roll my eyes. "Yeah, oversleep. I was awake through all your snoring." I comment irritably.
Natsu snorts. "That didn't stop you from clinging to me and drooling all over my chest again." Natsu retorts.
"YOU WERE JUST WARM! I CAN'T HELP IT!" I shout at him.
Natsu just laughs. We get to the top of the steps and peer upwards. "All right, then. Let's do this."
"You got it," I hum. "But I get the first fight." I explain.
"Just start punching!" Natsu complained. I beamed at him, and we began to literally wreck the temple. We peer through the large hole Natsu made through the ceiling all the way up to the top most floor. "You know, I usually end up breaking stuff by accident!" Natsu exclaims.
"It's kinda refreshing doing it on purpose," I hum.
"What are you doing here?!" Lyon shouts.
"We're knocking this place over!" Natsu shouts. "Then you won't be able to shine moonlight on that demon you've got underground!"
"Insolent fool," Lyon bites. "Just who do you think you are?! You dare challenge me?!"
"Okay, would someone please explain what's going on?" Toby questions. "Cause I'm lost."
"You're kinda dim, Toby, we don't blame you!" I shout up at him.
"Thank you!" Toby responds before realizing he's agreeing that he's dim.
The third man I don't recognize casts a glance at Toby. "Evidently, these two kids are the reason the temple is now tilted. I assume that they destroyed the support pillars on one side. Doing so caused the temple to shift in that direction. This in turn will prevent any moonlight from shining directly onto Deliora. It's an ingenious plan. I'm actually quite surprised those dolts came up with it."
"So you gonna fight us or what?" I snap irritably. "Cause I've been itchin' to let loose."
Frost covers my skin as I rocket upwards using my magic, and slamming into Lyon's torso, crushing my teeth into his side as his body turns to ice. I slam onto my feet and turn on the other two, crunching the ice and swallowing.
"Ice make: Eagle!" Lyon shouts. I snatch one out of the air, watching it wriggle wildly before biting it's head off. "What the--"
"You're the worst match up against me--" I comment angrily as Natsu leaps up from the hole. "Keep it coming, I've got an empty belly."
"What kind of ridiculous magic is this?" Lyon snaps.
"Ice Dragon Roar!" I suck in a deep breath and unleash a powerful torrent of ice before the ground gives way beneath me, sucking me under. I hit the ground and grunt irritably. "That jerk--" I growl as I peer upwards. I crawl back upwards and glare at Lyon.
"Are you suggesting that I could fall victim to such paltry magic?" Lyon hisses at his subordinate. I lean against my elbow as his ice magic completely encases the room. "Leave me. I can take care of this myself. Once I finally defeat the demon, everyone will worship my name, Cold Emperor Lyon. I've worked too hard to let brats like them tarnish it."
"As you wish," The small mage hums.
"That's your big plan?" I ask irritably as Natsu helps me out of the hole. "Trying to defeat a demon of destruction? What are you? Some kind of idiot? Aside from Deliora lookin' like one gust of wind from death, you're going through all kinds of trouble just to melt the ice just so you can fight it? That's so stupid!"
