Natsu gave a shout of frustration as he, Wendy, and I are thrown into a small jail cell. "Why you--" Natsu growled. "Hey! Where are the others?!" He barks at the man on the other side of the bars.

"Others?" The man snorted.

"Yeah, where're our friends, Lucy, Carla, Ballad, and Happy?" Wendy snapped. I just sat against the wall, glaring at my boots in irritation.

"Who's Lucy?" The man asked. He smirked after a moment. "Oh, you mean the blonde bimbo? Pretty little thing. Unfortunately, we've got no use for her. So she's gonna be executed." That got me up.

I grasped onto the bars. "If you so much as move a hair out of place on her head, I'll freeze your organs one at a time, you got that, pal?" I hiss. I shove off of the bars and storm off.

"Oh, well, aren't you a feisty one." The man cooed. "So, tell me somethin', are all you Earthland wizards just as ferocious as you are?"

"You're gonna execute Lucy?" Wendy whimpered. "What'll happen to Carla, Happy, and Ballad?"

"No need to worry about the Exceeds." The man shrugged.

"HIS NAME IS HAPPY!" Natsu barked. "GET IT STRAIGHT!"

"The exceeds accomplished their mission, so we took 'em back to their homeland. In fact, I bet the little guys have claimed their reward and are having a feast as we speak." The man hummed.

"What?" I hiss loudly.

"What do you mean? What mission?" Wendy cried. "No way, that's not possible!" She shouted after a moment of thought. "I don't know what kind of mission you guys sent her on, but I know Carla abandoned it!"

The man just laughed. "Oh, yeah? She actually completed it like a pro."

"Just what the hell are you making them do for you?!" I shout.

"You mean, you still haven't figured it out yet?" The man snorted.

My teeth began grinding uncomfortably loud. "If we knew, we wouldn't be asking, you jack ass!" I growl loudly.

"Their mission was to control the human population. By capturing Dragon Slayers." The man sneered.

My stomach turned cold as I stared in horrified shock. "That can't be right," Natsu muttered.

"No way--" Wendy stammered.

The sound of cheering reached my ears. Even through all the blood rushing to my head. "This is so cool. We finally got our hands on you." The man continued to sneer. "You three have so much of that awesome Dragon Slayer Magic inside you. All we gotta do now, is suck it out." He laughed with such sick satisfaction. I felt bile rising in my throat. These-- these monsters would rather destroy countless lives just to feed their own magic.

Wendy laid curled up on my lap, sniffling every so often as I held her. "I don't believe it," Natsu growled. "Happy would never turn his back on us! That's just impossible! WHAT DID YOU JERKS DO TO MY BUDDY!? TELL ME!" Natsu bellowed.

He started beating on the cell doors, trying to get it open. "Natsu..." I sighed. He tried to use a magical attack, but it still wouldn't work. "How many times do we have to say it won't work."

Natsu began throwing a tantrum as I stood up. "Stupid Edolas and your stupid no magic crap!" Natsu raged.

I grimace and press my fist against my forehead. "I hope you're okay, Ballad..." I murmur to myself. All I can picture is the poor thing wailing and wailing until her voice is gone. "I don't think any of them were aware of what was going on." I mention once I catch the look on Wendy's face. "I don't believe any of them would betray us. No, something else is going on." I start pacing. "This just isn't them." I start jabbing at my forehead with my finger a little too aggressively. "There's just no way!" I scrub at my hair irritably. "God, I've got a headache."
