you watched as the people around you were receiving chocolates and gifts. you sighed as you looked at your empty table. you weren't surprised at all but it still hurts. many of your friends came up to you, telling you how their valentine asked them to be their date. you couldn't help but give them a small smile at their experience.

it was cute you couldn't lie but you just wished that someone asked you. you sat at your seat, hoping that a certain someone would at least ask you.

you looked to the back of the class where most people would gather. your eyes landing on gyeong-su's figure as you watched him fold a paper airplane, a bar of chocolate sitting beside it.your eyebrows frowned as you soon realised. 

"ah. he's probably going to ask his valentine," you mumbled disappointingly to yourself, facing back towards the board as your shoulders drooped.

you already knew that gyeong-su wouldn't ask you but what harm does hoping do? maybe getting your feelings hurt might answer that.

"why do you look so disappointed?" on-jo nudged your elbow, sitting beside you as she rested her head against her arms.

"nothing. I was just hoping for this one guy to ask me. I am not surprised he didn't to be honest," you shrugged it off, acting as though it was nothing despite it hurting a little.

"oh. well who's the guy? maybe you should ask him instead? maybe he's a little shy?" on-jo tried cheering you up as you shook your head chuckling a little.

you glanced at gyeong-su for a moment, on-jo looking at the direction you were glancing at. gyeong-su. she wasn't surprised, she really wasn't. the both of you had a crush on each other and you guys were so oblivious about it it makes her head hurt. 

"me asking him? never gonna happen. besides, he's probably gonna ask someone else," you waved it off.

him ask someone else? on-jo couldn't believe her ears. she did not just convince gyeong-su to give you a valentine's gift and lecture him about how much you like him just for you to say that he was making a gift for someone else. on-jo slipped out of her seat, walking towards gyeong-su's direction. 

"yah. you better hurry up. they're already thinking you're giving the gift to someone else," on-jo stated as panic washed over his face.

"they think I'm giving this to someone!?" gyeong-su hushly exclaimed, surprised that you would think that.

 "of course you fucking idiot, now hurry and go give it to her," on-jo pushed him on his feet causing the chair to drag across the floor.

some classmates looked in his direction to see what was going on, including you. the sudden eye-contact with him made your eyes go wide as you quickly turned around, awkwardly paying attention to your book.

he slowly walked towards your direction, nervous at the fact that some (read: most)of his classmate's attention was still on him. he placed the chocolate and a paper airplane on your book as people started cheering. 

you looked up, wide-eyed and surprised that he gave it to you. you could feel your cheeks turning hot and the fact that his cheeks were red showed you how he felt. he went back to his seat as quick as he could, suddenly finding the interior of the floor quite interesting. he could see you open the paper airplane from the corner of his eye. he didn't know what to write, which was exactly why he took so long.

you opened the paper airplane.

I like you. will you be my valentine? (accept the chocolate if you do) - gyeong-su.

you couldn't help but smile. you opened the chocolate wrapper as you ate it. gyeong-su smiled in victory as he realised that you agreed. he took a seat next to you confidently as you broke a piece of the chocolate, offering it to him.

"i like you too. how about we start dating? today could be our first date," he didn't expect you to be this straightforward but he didn't mind. as long as it was you, he wouldn't mind.
