sun-hee walks up the stairs to class, trying not to get a tardy in attendance.

a quick glimpse of cheong-san is also seen just a few steps ahead. quickly hopping up the stairs to get to talk to him wouldn't do any harm right?

"cheong-san! wait up!" sun-hee quickly caught up with the raven haired boy "oh hi sun-hee" the small smile that never failed to melt their heart

"uhm, i wanted to talk to you after school.. if you weren't busy of course." looking down avoiding his eyes that you could always get lost in, trying their hardest to hide the faint blush that formed on their cheeks.

"sure"

that conversation was held a day ago, now they were stranded at the roof of their school after much trial and error they were finally able to start a fire with nam-ra's lighter.

the conversation shifted between topics with heavy emotions, now it was on-jo's time to talk.

the shock to hear that cheong-san liked somebody displayed on both on-jo and sun-hee's faces, but the pit of jealousy grew in sun-hee knowing who it was.

a stubborn heart they had, so blindly inlove with someone who could never love them back. was it wrong to think that sun-hee could show cheong-san that they loved him even if on-jo had him wrapped around her finger?

it was too late to make a change, too late to bring the sparkle back in his gorgeous eyes, because the words has already left his mouth.

"you. it's you, on-jo. i like you." he said with the courage he's built up for the past years, it was only right to confess now, right?

"he doesn't mean it. he's just kidding. i mean, we were friends and neighbors since kindergarten, that's all. stop joking." on-jo reassures, she wasn't ready, not now especially after seeing su-hyeok get with nam-ra, she needed time to analyze things, especially with the apocalypse right behind their tails.

"i'm not joking. ever since i was six years old, i've always liked you, on-jo. and i always will."

on-jo storms off, everyone giving him a pained smile, but the pain felt more evident on sun-hee's face once he's walked up to on-jo.

everyones talking was blacked out as the many emotions and thoughts grew in their frame.

how could they be so stubborn? be so selfish thinking they could take something that wasn't theirs in the first place? he already belonged to her, how could they ever stand a chance with on-jo?

so much has happened the entire night, the last thing they could do is fend for themselves, since no one was going to get them.

now surrounded by zombies, the only thing sheilding them are gym utilities.

after joon-yeongs heroic death, it left more intensity within the students to be more careful. and as much as sun-hee tried, they failed to keep their fingers away from the holes of the net.

a loud yelp left their lips catching attention from the others, the look of terror came across their features. sun-hee had no choice but to jump out, only to be pulled by mi-jin, she wasn't able to lose another underclassmen, they promised to go home together for the sake of joon-yeong.

"please let go, i don't want to hurt you." their voice was low as the tears ran down everyones faces, the blood that started to trickle down their cheeks, finally jumping off.

but sun-hee couldn't go without a few unsaid words. the pain that caused their eyebrows to scrunch and yell out screams of pain that made it harder for the others to listen to what they have to say.

"i like you cheong-san, but you are not mine. be good to on-jo, go home be safe, thank you all!" was the last thing they said before their bones cracked and their eyesight quickly turned into a crimson red. the normal sweet nature had left and turned into a monster who's only thoughts was to kill and survive.

the others were hurt, sorrow growing larger and larger, guilt that spread into their bodies after losing another beloved schoolmate, but there was nothing they could do but move forward like what the others said 'go home.'

cheong-san kept sun-hee's words and as much as it hurt, he promised to be good to on-jo.
