sun-hee was in the school cafeteria when it happened. they where getting lunch when suddenly students started to run in screaming. followed by those who had turned.
they now found themself hiding in the cafeteria' kitchen area with one of the school's bullies gwi-nam. probably one of the worst people to be with at a time like this but they had no choice.
they weren't an idiot. they didn't trust him, not even for a second, but they had to stay hidden for as long as they could to plan an escape. they already watched gwi-nam brutally push out two other people from where they were hiding to save himself and sun-hee was sure they would be next if they stayed. so now they had to make a run for it.
soon. before he could even attempt to sacrifice them for himself.
taking a deep breath in, sun-hee slowly shuffled to get a better look to see if there were any gaps where they could possibly run to escape. they didn't know where they would run to but with the options that they had, anywhere was better than where they currently where.
"yah, what are you doing?" gwi-nam whisper yelled as he saw them slowly begin to shuffle out from where they were hiding.
they ignored him as he continued to try to find out what they where going to do.
as they made it out from underneath the metal table, they quickly grabbed a knife from the counter to protect themself before starting to run to get out of the kitchen area. but they where stopped as a zombie had heard them and ran to attack them. thankfully, they took some self defence classes before so they knew how to fight to an extent. as the zombie came towards them they used all their force to push it off of them before stabbing it in the neck and kicking it to the floor.
as they continued to make their way to the kitchens exit they then saw one of the lunch ladies hiding, asking for help. reaching out to grab their hand they helped the woman up and just as they where about to turn to leave gwi-nam came running, a zombie chasing him. as he approached sun-hee and the lunch lady he grabbed the lunch lady and pushed her into the zombie that was chasing him.
this made sun-hee sick to the stomach, but they couldn't dwell on it as they still needed to leave the cafeteria to get some place else. after managing to escape through one of the windows they felt relief flood over them. however, gwi-nam had also managed to get out following closely behind them.
"what's your plan now?" he raised an eyebrow at sun-hee and they shrugged. they hadn't thought about what to do next.
"okay i'll tell you mine then..you see that bike, that's how we should escape" gwi-nam said as he pointed to a bike discarded on the floor.
sun-hee couldn't help but roll their eyes in response "it's faster on foot"
gwi-nam ignored them and decided to then make a run for the bike. sun-hee debated on whether to go or not, but then closely followed behind him. they both of course began to get chased by zombies and sun-hee looked over their shoulder to see gwi-nam struggle with the bike.
