We headed down to where the three boys waited, Simon saw us and his eyes bulged as he said "What is that? That you're both wearing, I mean." Clary said, "It's a dress, Simon, I know I don't wear them that much, but really." I instead took the opposite route and spun in a circle saying "I know, I look amazing, right." Simon said "They're so short," Jace said, "I agree Tia, you do look amazing, and I like the dress, It needs a little something extra, though." Clary said, "So now you're a fashion expert?" He handed us both thin long daggers She said "I wouldn't even know how to use that..." He said "You'd learn. It's in your blood." I said, "And I don't need it." He said, "You need a weapon, T." I said, "I have two." Alec said, "Where?" I pulled the whip out before letting it wrap around my wrist again and then said "And if I want to get a little up close and personal." I lifted the hem of my skirt enough for them to see the dagger attached to my thigh.

Clary agreed and Isabelle said, "I could give you a thigh sheath to put that in, I've got tons." Simon said, "CERTAINLY NOT, Tia shouldn't even have one." I said, "Yeah but I have to disagree, I have four older siblings standing around me and they don't care, so your outvoted Simon." Clary said "Thanks, but I'm not a thigh sheath kind of girl." Simon grumbled and Jace said "And one last thing," he pulled the pins from Clary's hair letting it fall in beautiful curls he said "Much better," he sounded a little too aroused so I said "Hey lover boy, we went over this at City of Bones, little sister is still here so get a room. But not now, now it's time to party!" Jace and Clary both glared at me making me laugh and head for the doors.

We walked until we saw a building with Bikes, Jace said "Vampires," Simon said "They look like motorcycles to me," Isabelle said "They are, but they've been altered to run on demon energies, Vampires use them... it lets them get around fast at night. It's not strictly Covenant, but..." Alec was excited "I've heard some of the bikes can fly, Or go invisible at the flick of a switch. Or operate underwater." Isabelle said, "Well, hurry up, Tia and I didn't get this dressed up to watch you mess around in the gutter with a bunch of motorcycles." Jace said, "They are pretty to look at, You have to admit that." Isabelle said, "So are we, Now hurry up." I headed to the door. Isabelle followed. She hit the buzzer for Bane, and when nothing happened she did it again, she was gonna do it a third time when Alec caught her wrist "Don't be rude," The door flew open and a man stood in front of us. He was tall, he had cat eyes, black spikey hair, black eyeliner, a suit, and of course a lot of glitter. Isabelle smiled at him "Magnus? Magnus Bane?" He said "That would be me. Children of the Nephilim, Well, well. I don't recall inviting you." Isabelle took out the invitation and said "I have an invitation. These are my friends."

Magnus plucked the invitation out of her hand looked at it, then said "I must have been drunk, Come in. And try not to murder any of my guests." I walked to the stairs but stopped as Jace said "Even if one of them spills a drink on my new shoes?" Magnus said "Even then. As for this, keep it in your pants, Shadowhunter." I said "Awe, your no fun." Then ran up the stairs, Magnus grinned and followed me. I went inside his apartment and grinned, there was no furniture, the windows were covered, probably for the vamps, the doors were taken off and laid over trash cans to make a bar, and everyone was dancing and having fun. Magnus said, "Have fun." I said, "Hey, you seem fun, what drink would you recommend?" He looked me over and said, "Come on." I followed him and he made me a drink, I took a sip and it was really good. I said, "Thank you." He said "Anything for a beautiful girl." he winked then walked away. I made my way to the dance floor and it wasn't long before arms wrapped around my waist, and a body pressed against my back and fell into rhythm with me.

I wrapped one arm back around his neck continuing to move as he whispered "Whats your name beautiful?" I said "Tia. Yours?" he said "Jason." I noticed he was really tall, I looked up into his eyes and saw they were snake eyes so I said, "You're a warlock?" He said "And your a shadowhunter." and then traced the half-drawn Iratze rune that Isabelle scrawled on my upper thigh. His touch was so light and soft that it sent a shiver through my entire body, making me have to take a deep breath. He chuckled "Am I making it hard for you to breathe?" I said "Only a little." he gently kissed my neck "Want me to make it harder?" and with my luck, Alec walked up and said, "What's going on here?" He said, "Well we appear to be dancing." Alec said "With my little sister? I don't think so." I groaned and Jason said, "She doesn't seem to mind." Jace, Clary, and Magnus walked over here he said "Jason, don't irritate the shadowhunters. You never answered me, am I in trouble with the Clave?" Jace said "No," Alec said "Probably not," Jace kicked him and said "No, We can talk to you under the seal of the Covenant. If you help us, anything you say will be confidential."

Magnus said, "And if I don't help you?" Jace said "Maybe nothing. Maybe a visit from the Silent City." Magnus said, "That's quite a choice you're offering me, little Shadowhunter." Jace said "It's no choice at all," Magnus said, "Yes, That's exactly what I meant." Clary nudged me so I detangled myself from Jason and stood in front of Jace. Magnus looked at me raising an eyebrow and I gave him my puppy dog face and said "Please help us? It would mean a lot to me." then I popped my bottom lip out for my pout. I heard Jace say "That isn't gonna work on a..." Magnus fell under my spell and said "Of course, ill help you." Alec said, "I guess that does work on every man." Magnus shook his head and said, "You are a little vixen, you know that?" I smiled "I know, it's a gift." Jason pulled me into his arms "That was sexy as hell." I smirked "That's the point, sexy is manipulating when it comes to men." I kept a hold of Jason's hand as we followed Magnus into his bedroom.

Jace said, "Nice place, Guess it pays well, being the High Warlock of Brooklyn?" Magnus said "It pays, Not much of a benefits package, though. No dental." He shut the door leaning against it and crossed his arms while he said "So, What's on your devious little minds?" Clary pulled me to her side and said "It's not them, actually, we're the ones who wanted to talk to you." Magnus said "You two are not one of them, Not of the Clave. But you can see the Invisible World." Clary said "Our mother was one of the Clave, But she never told us. She kept it a secret. We don't know why." Magnus said, "So ask her." Clary hesitated "We can't. She's..." I said "She's gone." he said, "And your father?" Clary said, "My father died before I was born." I said, "And I just learned who mine was, and he is in the Glass City." Magnus said "As Oscar Wilde once said, To lose one parent may be regarded as a misfortune. To lose both seems like carelessness." She said "We didn't lose our mother. She was taken from us. By Valentine."

Magnus said "I don't know any Valentine, I'm sorry for your tragic circumstances, but I fail to see what any of this has to do with me. If you could tell me..." Jace was irritated "They can't tell you, because they don't remember, Someone, erased their memories. So we went to the Silent City to see what the Brothers could pull out of their heads. They got two words. I think you can guess what they were." Silence and then Magnus smiled a bitter smile "My signature, I knew it was folly when I did it. An act of hubris..." I was shocked and Clary said "You signed our minds?" he demonstrated his signature in the air. He said "I was proud of my work on you, So clean. So perfect. What you saw you would forget, even as you saw it. No image of pixie or goblin or long-legged beastie would remain to trouble your blameless mortal sleep. It was the way she wanted it. You, on the other hand, were harder, for being younger you were so much more work than you should have been. I couldn't get all of yours. And yes you forgot what you saw but not as quick as your sister did. Like your mind was fighting me, you were only four, you should not have been able to withstand me. Maybe that's why no one can withstand you, did I do something wrong?" he was getting off track so Clary said, "The way who wanted it?" Magnus sighed, "Your mother,"
