Old Friends, Die Young

The next few days were pretty boring, untill we arrived at a blockage. But the blockage was a bunch of buildings with a huge fence and guards. "Turn back around you're not welcome here!" said one of the guards. "We don't mean any harm we just want to pass through." said Warren as her and I got out of the car. "Well you can't! You have to go all the way around." Said the other guard. Just as we were about to give up someone walked out of the main building. "Angel? Is that you?" Said a familiar voice. My eyes widened when I saw my dad's best friend. "Ashton!" I squealed. He picked my up and spun me around. "Are your brothers with you? What about your mom?" He asked in excitement. I looked at my feet and started to cry. He quickly grabbed me and we both went to the ground. "Have you already herd from your dad?" "No." I sniffled "I'm riding with them to Nevada to see if they're still alive." I finished as we both stood up. "Well it's getting late you and your friends come inside and get something to eat and some supplies. You can continue in the morning." He said. We all went inside and Ashton led us to the cafeteria. As soon as we walked in I saw Ashton's family. His daughter Destiny was my best friend until they moved a year before the Z outbreak. She saw me and her eyes welled up with tears she ran to me and I to her she wrapped her arms around me and we both cried. We all sat down and ate and got all caught up on what they all had been doing the last three years.

~Later That Night~

I was walking back to my room after taking a much needed shower when someone grabbed my arm is was Ashton's oldest son Danny, Danny was my ex from when we were like 14 and he never got over it. "Long time no see Angel." He said in a low voice. "What do you want now?" I said in a rude tone. "What I can't say hi to an old friend. I figured you would be a little more pleased to see me after all that's happened." He said rubbing my arm. "You've always been a creep Danny." I said then turned to walk away. He grabbed my arm and pulled me back, "Don't you ever walk away from me!" He said with anger. "Let go of me!" I said in a panic. As I tried to pull away his grip tightened. "Danny you're hurting me!" I shrieked. He pushed me against the wall. "You've always like it rough didn't you." He said getting close to my face. "Get away from me syco!" I yelled. He pushed him self against me so I couldn't move. I began to panic, but his grip just got tighter. "Uhg! Mmm! Get off! Ahh! SOMEONE HELP ME!" I screamed. He started kissing my neck "Uggg! Get off of me!" I said struggling to get free. Then just as he was about to kiss my lips some one smashed him in the head with a lamp. It was Murphy I stood there in shock. "Well? Run!" He said. I quickly snapped out of it and took off down the hall towards my room, but on the way I ran, literally, into 10k and fell flat on my ass. "Woah! Babe are you okay? What's wrong?" He said with a worried look on his face. I couldn't bring myself to speak so I just threw my arms around him and broke down. He didn't ask any more questions and just held me there. He eventually picked me up and carried me back to my room. He set me down and asked what happened and if I was okay. All I could do was shake my head no. That was all he needed for a reason to stay. We both laid down and just stayed there in silence. The next morning we were loading up the truck when we herd a scream it was Destiny. I knew that scream any where. We all took off running towards the scream, which was coming from the kitchen she was being cornered by a Z. Without hesitation I pulled out my hand gun and shot the Z in the side of the head. That's when it started we heard more screaming coming from all different parts of the compound. I wanted to help, but I couldn't we had to leave. As we were running towards the truck a group of boys stood in front of us with Danny in front. "You caused this, why don't you just come out and admit you were in the wrong." said Danny. I could feel my body boiling with anger as I stepped to the front of the group. Everyone looked at me with shock. "What are you taking about?" I said coldly. "Don't you see! This is all for you! There were so many things keeping us apart now there gone, well there is still one I need to take care of..." he said as he pointed his gun toward 10k. Then emediantly I held up my gun and pulled the trigger as soon as mine went off 10k hit the ground. I fell next to him to see if he was okay and thank god he was. We continued down the hall and out side. There were Z everywhere! I pulled out my bow and started clearing a path that's when I heard a scream behind me. I turned around to see Destiny running towards me with a Z run right on her tail. I held up my bow but I couldn't get a clear shot. Then she started slowing down and the Z caught up to her "Noooooooooo!" I screamed. I started for her but 10k grabbed me. "Let me go! I have to save her!" I pleaded. Has I look towards her I saw her skin turn green and blood come from her mouth. I finally got out of 10k's grip and just starred at her. I slowly walked over to her and pulled out my gun and said, "Destiny, I give you mercy..." Then pulled the trigger. That's when 10k grabbed me and pulled into the bed of the truck and we drove off.
