Now What Do I Do?

We continued to drive for a little while untill we reached a clearing. Warren stopped the truck and everyone got out and circled around the back. "Angel we are all so sorry for what you just had to go through back there." said Warren as she put her hand on my sholder. I jumped then said, "s.... Sorry." Warren shook her head and said, "no its alright." "so what do we do now?" asked Addie. Warren sighed and said, "We continue to California." Warren looked over at me. "Why don't we make camp for the night." she said. Everyone else agreed. Once night hit i couldnt sleep all i could think about was my dad. So while everyone else slept i grabbed my things and snuck off. I climbed into a near by tree and fell asleep. That next morning i was woken by worrisome screams. "Angle! Angle!" hollered a voice. Then i noticed Addie and Cassandra. "She probably ditched us and wondered off on her own. I dont see why were wasting our time." said Cassandra. "Because she's our friend and she wouldn't do that! She knows how crushed 10k would be if he lost her." replied Addie. My face fell in sorrow, i did love 10k, but i still wasnt sure if i could go back. I needed time to myself, time to think. I watched them continue on and out of sight. I carefully made my way back to were i could see and hear the group with out being noticed. "We couldn't find her." said Addie. "Us either." said Doc. "She has to be out here somewhere!" said 10k. Tears began to fall and he socked the side of the truck then stormed off. I fallowed him, but at a safe distance. "How could she do this? Does she not care about me? Doesn't she realize i need her." he cried to him self. I notice a Z coming and 10k wasnt budging i pulled out my arrow and piked it right between the eyes. 10k jumped, but when he noticed the arrow he called out for me, "Angel where are you? I know your close! Please just talk to me." I stayed crouched behind the bushes and tried to keep myself from crying. "Fine you dont want to be with me any more! Then just listen to these last words and ill leave you alone..." he shouted. My heart began to race and my stomach tightened. "Okay... I love you angel, i wasnt sure what love was befor you, but i do now. When you lay with me and i wake in the middle of the night and your sound asleep I can't help but smile. Then i watched you with your bow for the first time i knew you'd be the one I'd fall for and i did. Im sorry for what happened at the base with your dad you didn't diserve that. You didn't diserve anything thats happened to you since you've been with us. I just want you to know even if your not with us... Your never without us." he stopped talking and i felt my heart sink into my stomach. Was i really giving up on the first person to look out for me since my brothers? The first person i've ever fell in love with? What was i doing? Who would be hurt more in the end? Then I herd footsteps he was leaving and i couldn't move. I decided I would fallow them by tree since there was miles of forest left. "Did you find her 10k?" asked Doc. "No. We should get going." he said in a cold voice. I sighed and climbed into the trees as they piled into the truck. I followed them for miles killing any Z insight trying to keep them safe since California was known as a dead zone. Finally they stopped to set up camp. 10k walked off by himself, i followed. He pulled out his hunting knife and started to carve into a tree. Little by little his picture came to life it was how many Zs I've killed inside of a heart. I had lost count, but he never did. A tear came to my eye but i pulled it together when someone in the distance called out his name. It was Cassandra, I tried not to move so they wouldn't know I was there. "10k! Are you out here?" she called out. 10k kept quiet and looked at the tree once more. "Yea. I'll head back in a minute." he called back. She popped her head out of the mess of trees and made her way over to him. She put her hands on his chest and said, "forget about her! If shes just going to up and leave like that then she obviously didnt care about you or us." "you're wrong she did care, but shes in a dark place. If it were me i would leave too." he said. "Oh 10k i know you want to believe that but she was messed up From the start and i knew this would happen but im always here for you." she said. Then she leaned in to kiss him. My blood boiled and i grabbed an acorn and chucked it at her head. It smashed into her temple right before she could kids him. "What the hell was that?" she said in shock. "I'm not sure, but we should get back to the group." he said. She agreed and they walked back. That night 10k was laying against a tree when Warren walked up to him. "She cares about you ya know." she said. "I know." he replied looking at the ground. "She left because she needed space she'll come back. She knows where we'll be." said Warren. "Yea I know. I just wish i could help her, but i only make things worse." he said. "No you dont. You're an amazing hunter and you are Angels world." she replied. I tried to get closer to listen in and my foot slipped making a sound. Warren looked up and smiled. "Angel is never to far away from you. Where ever she is shes looking out for you, for all of us " she said then walked away.
