Days to Nights

We had been driving for days, and I was finally out of tears. I sat in the truck bed, with the warm summer sun hitting my face and all i wanted was darkness. Warren and Sun had been tracking Murphy for a week now trying to find this "New world of blends". I was jolted out of my thoughts when Hector slammed on his brakes and sent me into the tailgate. "How about a little warning next time?" I said sitting back up. "He's gotta be around here somewhere," Sun said. That's when I realized her tracker was going haywire. "Lets move out," warren ordered. We all walked in the direction of Sun's tracker. "It says were right on top of him, How is this possible?" she asked confused. Not even 2 seconds later a Zombie came around the corner charging at us. "What the hell?" Warren said. "I got this," Addie smirked. She walked towards the Z and zapped him right between the eyes. He went down hard. "Hey Sun! I think I found your transmitter." We all walked over as Addie held up the Jeep's transmitter covered in Zombie guts. She handed it to Sun who looked like she was going to barf. "Is it just me or is Murphy getting smarter?" asked Warren. "No, is wasn't Murphy, This has 10k written all over it." I said coldly. We made our way back to the truck, but it was out of gas. "Alright people you know the drill," Warren said. she walked up to me and put her arm around me shoulder and said, "Hey why don't you sit this one out?" "I appreciate your concern, but the only way we survive this is if we all do our part." I replied and walked away. Warren sighed and continued on. 

~Murphy~

"We gotta keep moving if this new world order is going to happen," Murphy reminded. "Murphy there is another vehicle blocking the road, what do you want me to do?" 10k asked. Murphy leaned over the seat and started blasting the horn. "Murphy stop! your going to attract unwanted attention," 10k snapped. "You're with me kid, no need to panic, Ugh! I guess I have to do everything myself," he scoffed. Murphy jumped out of the car and made his way to the vehicle blocking the path with 10k right on his heels. Murphy jerked open the door and said, "what in gods name do I have to do to get you people to get out of the way?" The couple looked at Murphy with panic in their eyes, "I...Its our daughter, shes dieing". "Oh," Murphy started. "Well I think I may be able to help". Within a few minutes the other vehicle was out of the way and the helpless family was piling in to the back of the jeep. "What did you do?" Dr. Merch asked. "I gave them a choice, and they chose to survive," He said simply before turning to 10k and saying, "Lets get a move on kid, were burning daylight". 

~Gang~

"Warren, I hear something in the distance," I said. "Then we should probably go the other way," Doc staid trying to walk back. "Come on Doc you know the drill. We investigate every situation," Warren replied. "Oh come on!" he said reluctantly following her lead. As we entered this small city we noticed all the zombies were under some kind of hypnotic trance. "Where are they going?" I asked. "Where do you think?" Warren asked. "Murphy," we all said in unison. 

~Citizen Z~

"Come on Zach you need to get your strength up if you wanna get yourself back on the air," Kaya said jogging in place. "Stop please," He started "One more time around the village," Kaya continued. "I said stop! Please!" He shouted. Kaya stopped and said, "But i don't understand"? "There are no more transmitters here, Citizen failed to protect the Murphy and his sister, dont you get that?" He snapped back. "How do you know you failed? Angle and the rest of Delta X-ray Delta could still be alive out there somewhere with the Murphy waiting for you," She replied. "how do you know that's true?" he asked. "How do you know it's not?" she reiterated. "Now come on! one more time around the village!" she shouted pushing him forward.

~Murphy~

"Take it all in kid," Murphy said standing at the edge of a cliff. "Where the hell are we?" 10k asked. "Spokane! This is where I create my New World Order, and you're lucky enough to be apart of it," Murphy said. They walked down to the bridge just over a small waterfall and a crystal clear river. "Breath taking isn't it Dr. Merch?" Murphy asked. She kept quiet. "I suggest you start perfecting my blend vaccine," He replied. As they looked out over the waterfall, Z began to approach. 10k reached for his weapon before Murphy stopped him and said, "Don't worry about them kid, you're with me now. They wont hurt you". "I'll never be with you," 10k scoffed. "and yet here you are," He replied. before walking back up the bridge to an abandoned building at its edge.
