The sound of muffled voices that came from downstairs soon woke Y/N up from her deep sleep. It was a good sleep, a very much earned good sleep.
Shuffling from under the blanket, she was met with a firm grip to her side and a groan from beside her. "Oh hell no." She spoke, turning her face to meet with Five's. "Cant keep your hands to yourself huh?"
"Mmm," The raven haired boy groaned, digging his head into her chest.
"I'd love to stay like this, but unfortunately, the world is ending and times a' tickin'." She ran a hand through his hair with a small smile. "Whatever." He mumbled turning away from her.
"Wake your cranky ass up," She said, getting up from the bed and closing the bedroom door softly behind her.
As she entered the kitchen, she was found by Klaus and Luther, Klaus pouring Luther a dark mug of coffee, along with another one that he placed on a empty placemat. Y/N assumed it was for Five, but in actuality it was for Ben.
"Here you go, This'll fix ya." Klaus handed him the cup, as Luther sighed in relief.
As Luther was about to sip on his coffee, Five grabbed it muttering out a small thanks before sitting in the seat next to him. His face scrunched up tightly. "Jesus who do I gotta kill to get a decent cup of coffee?" He placed the mug down, giving it a small push away from him in disgust.
"Can we get started?" Luther spoke as Y/N took a seat across from Five. She too took a small sip of the coffee, "Gross..." She whispered, setting it back down.
"Anyone seen any of the others? Diego? Allison?" Luther spoke again, silence engulfed the room. "All right then, this is the closest thing to a quorum..." He hit his fist on the table, "That we're gonna get."
A long conversation was held about their fathers death. Y/N examined their conversation closely, butting in every now and then.
Five watched from a short distance, admiring the girl. She wasnt related to his family in anyway at all, yet she listened to them like she was another one of their sisters. So interested in anything that they had to say, taking in every word like it was the most important thing on the planet. She barely knew any of them, yet she felt like a close member of the family already.
The conversation ended surprisingly with Pogo explaining their fathers depth, and how his dying wish was the one thing he simply had to follow through with. Luther stormed off at the fact that his Father had killed himself just to get the family back together, and Five had spatial jumped back into his room, mumbling out a "I gotta think," quickly before leaving.
Quickly slipping out of his PJ's Grace had put on him, he put on the academy uniform. "A little warning before you strip in front of me, jeez Five." She turned around, crossing her arms.
"Oh yea, I'm changing." He scoffed. "Like it matters if I give you a warning. We'll all be dead in a few days, might as well make the most of it." He shrugged, loosely putting the tie around his neck, letting it hang under his collar.
Y/N turned around, hurrying to the boy to fix his tie. "Such a cute lil' uniform huh?" She patted the collar down, placing her hands on his shoulders.
"No." Five removed her hands gently, turning around. "Fine be an ass, I'm going to hangout with Klaus, he likes me better!" Y/N rolled her eyes,
As Y/N sneaked into Klaus' room, she watched as he struggled to try and untangle his yarn. "Whatcha' doin'?" She laid on his bed staring at the textured ceiling. "Jack shit. Knitting, whatever you call this?"
"I'm bored Klaus, I dont wanna save the world today. I want a day off damnit!" Y/N rolled over pushing her head into a pillow. "I would say same, but I havent done anything. Actually I have! I freaking went to the fu-" His sentence was cut short with Five's interruption of him limping in.
"Get up, we're going." He stood in the middle of the room, stuffing his hands in the short pockets.
Klaus and Y/N glanced at each other before glancing back at Five, "Going where?" They said in unison. Five rolled his eyes, "To save the world."
"Oh is that all, great." Klaus put the yarn down with a sigh. "So, Pogo said Dad killed himself to get us all back together, right?"
"Yeah, so?" Klaus got up grabbing a random shirt from his bed. Y/N was stuck on why Five was limping, was he hurt or just tired?
"So it got me thinking," Five walked around himself, fidgeting with his hands now, "I had to jump to the future to figure out when it happened, but Dad, he can't time travel. So how'd the crazy bastard actually know to kill himself a week before the end of the world?"
"I mean, your father is pretty weird..." Y/N said, "Well y'know..." Klaus started.
Five sighed turning around to point a finger at the both of them, "Don't answer, that was purely rhetorical."
Y/N flopped back onto the bed with a groan.
"Truth is our whole lives, he's been telling us we'd save the world from an impending apocalypse."
"Yeah, but I always thought he just said that to scare us into doing the dishes." Klaus started tying one of his shoes.
"Me too!"Y/N laughed lightly into the bed. "Didn't you guys have a maid like mother?"
Ignoring the girl Five kept talking, "But what if the old man really knew it was going to happen?"
"Yeah, but knew how?"
"No idea." Five rubbed the temples of his head. "But the fact remains, his fakakta plan worked. We all came home. Since we're here, we might as well save the world."Y/N stood up from her spot, "Oh yeah? What, like, the three of us?"
"Uh, well, ideally, no... but, gotta work with what I've got." Five headed out the door."Ideally, I'm the best assassin partner ever, and you should be grateful you have this wonderful family to support you with this mess!" Y/N smiled, lightly hitting Klaus.
"Hush."
