Chapter fourteen

A familiar tune whistled in the background.It wasn't clear,it was muffled.Ruth opened her eyes restlessly.Her body was so weak she couldn't feel anything.

She tried to move but she was restrained by two chains on each of her arms.Her body was standing on the support of those chains.She looked around to see she was in some kind of basement.

Only one bulb of light was hanging above a table in front.Ruth tried to move but it only hurt her knuckles more.She weakly sighed in defeat and her head dropped down limp.

Ruth heard the basement door open.She didn't even look up to see who came inside.It wasn't Luca

"Luca will be seeing you in a few hours.He asked me to bring you water and food.He also asked me to untie you"the man walked closer to her.Ruth let out a weak chuckle and looked up

"You might not want to do that if you care about your life"the man clenched his jaw at her behaviour.But his angry look was soon taken over with a certain hungry and lustful look

He stared at her up and down and smirked walking closer to her until he was face to face

"A little birdy like you looks good in chains.You know when she's miserable and there's nothing she can do to protect herself with no one who will come and protect her"Ruth very well knew where this was going and she was more than ready

"What makes you think that there's no one coming for me?"she smirked weakly.Blood had dried on her face,her hair were ruffled and she looked more than demonic while smiling like that

"Oh you little bitch,no one is coming.Not even Luca is coming to protect you from what I'm about to do"

Ruth was hit by a fist on the side of her face.The man grabbed her hair and pulled her face up but the smirk was still not gone.

He took out his knife and placed it at the collar of her shirt.He sliced the shirt by his knife till a small part of her chest was revealed but before he could cut more than that,Ruth,by the support of the chains jumped up and kicked the man by her legs right on his chest

He fell back on the ground with a thud.He groaned painfully and got back up with a growl.He ran back to Ruth to grab her but she grabbed the chain and did a flip to dodge him.

The man was now behind her.He screamed in anger and ran to her.She jumped again but before he could run forward she grabbed him by her legs and twisted them around his neck.

The man started to choke.He tried his best to get out of her grip but that only made her tighten it more.

"Wow"she heard someone clap victoriously.She looked and saw Luca standing there looking impressed as ever

Ruth dropped the man back on the floor.He gasped breathlessly and grabbed his neck to regulate his breathing.

Luca kept clapping and walked to them both.He kneeled down to his goon who was on the floor.

"I asked you for one thing.Just drop some food and water and leave.But you couldn't keep it in your fucking pants could you stupido codardo"

Luca mumbled something in Italian to him.Seemed like a threat.The man's face went pale as a ghost and he apologised and rushed out of the room.

Luca shook his head at the ridiculous behaviour of the man and stood back up.He turned to Ruth to see her condition

Not going to lie it did break his heart because he did all of this.Luca was a lover who hated himself for still loving her.

"Men and their cocks never cease to amaze me"Ruth scoffed weakly.Luca walked to her and closely examined her condition.Her shirt was torn and a bloody cut was there at the same point which was caused by the man's knife
