Chapter twenty three

Tommy picked up the phone that rang immediately.He held his cigarette between his two fingers and held the phone to his hear

"Hello?"he cleared his throat

"Mr Shelby how are you?"

"Mr Stefano,I'm doing well.How can I help?"

"Mr Shelby I have a request to make if you don't mind"he said on the other line

"Well depends on what the request is"he stubbed his cigarette in the ashtray and kept his hand in his pocket

"Well I wanted to sign a deal with you.I need support on my business and I wanted to expand it to you territories too.But since I live in AUSTRALIA it's a little difficult for me and since we're partners I was hoping you could help"

"And what will be my share of this deal?"

"50% of the profit"

"Alright then,where do I sign?"he removed his glasses and kept them on the table.

"Well you'll have to come to...Australia Mr Shelby.I understand it's a far way but it's required.I can't come there because I'm already in a meeting with another BUSINESSWOMAN"

Tommy stayed silent for a while and thought his options and the perfect date to go there

"Alright then I'll come there"

"Very well Mr Shelby,I'll be sending my ship with my crew and it will reach by two days to the Birmingham docks.I thank you for this favour,you'll get the profit you were promised Mr Shelby"

The call was cut.Tommy put down the phone and sighed sitting on the Chair.He turned it to face the window behind and stared out at the sky

In decisions like this he used to have another advice of Ruth.As much as he hated himself for not forgetting her,at some part he still wished he could find her

A month later

"Alfred,I have a meeting with Mr stefano again.It's a short meeting and he's just meeting to give me some papers across the street.I'm taking Anastasia with me.Please take care of the house"Alfred nodded with a smile.

Ruth gave him his smile back and grabbed her coat.Her housemaid helped her wear it and the other maid brought Anastasia to her

Ruth held her daughter by her tiny hand,she held on her mothers finger and walked with her out of the house.

Ruth sat in the car and helped her sit in.

"Ready to go?"she asked Anastasia once while putting the safety belt on her.She nodded and fiddled with her doll that was in her hand

Ruth smiled to herself and took off

"Mr stefano it's a pleasure to meet you again"Ruth shook hands with the old man who smiled at her and shook hands

"The pleasure is all mine Mrs Prince"yes ruth changed her name but only as a set up because she didn't want her name to come in any document ever.And yes she added 'Mrs' too her name

"I'm sorry to call you on such short notice Mrs Prince.You're daughter is sure sweet"he said and ruth looked down at Anastasia who was looking straight into the man's eyes
