Chapter 10

On the following day, Taeyeon went to see Sunny about the ID she saw in Joohyun's pocket. She gave Sunny the description of the face on the ID and the latter insantly recognized the girl. Sunny pleaded Taeyeon to find out more about her friend and Taeyeon happily offered her help. Just by coincidence, Joohyun got her phone number through Krystal and called her about recording her song. Taeyeon told Sunny she will ask Joohyun about her friend and left with Joohyun in her driver's car

On the ride to the recording location, the two had a casual conversation. Taeyeon thanked Joohyun for the opportunity, Joohyun said she offered her help because she really liked her song and she is very curious where she picked up her singing talent. They also shared their favourite foods, hobbies and some memorable times. Joohyun took this chance to mention some things she remembered doing with her sister when she was 5. The goal is to see if Taeyeon remembers. Sadly, Taeyeon didn't react to any of the things Joohyun had said.

Joohyun also have a cousin who is an arrogant bastard that's a good-for-nothing. All he boasts about is his better at school, won awards, being handsome and how he is going to be the company's next leader. He did not believe a woman could take the role of leading a company of the size of her father's. Joohyun has no intention of becoming the next CEO, but nonetheless her cousin's attitude pisses her off. She also blames it on his mother, terrible woman her uncle married. Though she loved her uncle very much.

When she brought Taeyeon to the building, the entire group was there waiting for them.

"Why are you all here?"

Yeri butted in first. "We are here to judge you! Are you really as good as Joohyun says or are you here to take advantage of Joohyun. You better perform good, or we...I don't know." Yeri scratched the back of her head, not knowing what to say.

"You are so embarassing, Yeri." Joy said, covering half of her face.

"What? I am being protective friend. Granny Baechu needs our help when her head is filled with Taeyoon being her actual..."

"KIM YERIM!" Seulgi covered kid's mouth before letting them continue their conversation.

"What if I do good?"

"Seulgi will buy you a rose!"

"Ah, really!? Wait, why a rose?"

"Seeulgi loooves roses!" Yeri's lips fought hard against the palm of Seulgi's hands, spitting everywhere, finding it difficult to talk between Seulgi's fingers. "She even bought Joohyun roses for no reason once, you should have seen Joohyun's reaction!"

"That was because you tricked me! Do you want to die?" said Seulgi, eyes throwing daggers at Yeri while wiping Yeri's saliva off of her hands. "Gross."

Before Seulgi could do anything to retaliate Joy pulled Yeri out of the room.

"GRUMPY OLD TALL LADY!! BLEH!!! MAN HANDLING ME! YAHHH!" was the last thing the group heard of Yeri.

Joohyun sighed and took Taeyeon to the recording room wherethey met the sound enginneer and a producer, whom Joohyun introduced as two of the best among her father's company.

A few times the sound engineer interrupted Taeyeon, telling her to sing several parts faster or slower, but she remained adamant. Then they had a meeting with a producer and composer, who said they will have the score and recording composed within a month. This was made easier by Taeyeon's miraculous skill in comprehension and wrote most of the song on the spot. In the end, she left one of them astounded and the other suspicious, thinking it must be an existing piece, not believing the girl had thought of it by herself. Taeyeon admitted she didn't write the song by herself and gave them some names, but after some research, they couldn't find the names anywhere. It's like the composers Taeyeon mentioned did not exist. They ended up thinking that Taeyeon is just trying to be modest and not catch too many attention by saying she wrote the song herself.
