The masked man saw the paper inside her pockets, so he managed to take Taeyeon to her hotel.
"What happened to her??" Jessica looked at the stranger who dropped Taeyeon on the bed.
"Get her some ice and lay it on her belly. Here is some medicine." He instructed her and handed her a bottle of medicine.
Then the man left silently not replying another word to Jessica.
Jessica sat at the edge of the bed beside Taeyeon. She did as she was instructed and gently placed a towel on the girl's rather pale tummy and placed the ice pack on top. She jumped when Taeyeon's hands suddenly grabbed her wrists.
"Ahh! Taengu you almost give me a heart attack!" Jessica patted her palm on her chest, almost falling off the bed.
"Sorry. Not my fault you placed a cold ass bag on my skin." Taeyeon slowly propped herself up on her bed.
"I should be the one apologizing. But why were you out so late and you even forgot to take your phone!???"
"I just wanted to look for that ring, then I don't know, three men came out of nowhere and..."
"THREE men!? Who were they??" A stunned Jessica looked intently at her, feeling scared for the injured girl.
"Well, they had mask on and I could only recognize one of them. He is a former executive that I fired...."
"You fired one of my dad's executives???"
"Why are you surprised? They were inadequate, they needed to be fired."
"My dad let you do that??? You are a fucking 19 year old with two years of experience!"
Taeyeon nodded.
Jessica can't believe what she is hearing. She knew Taeyeon did well and her father is more than satisfied about her performance, but she didn't expect her to be at the level that she can manage her father's employees. On the other hand, Taeyeon leftout the fact that one of them mentioned another man wanting her to stay away from Jessica. She didn't want to scare Jessica away.
"What about that handsome tall dude who saved you?"
"I don't know, I didn't ask. He was handsome? Wow you lucky, I never saw him without a mask!"
"You dumb kid, stop joking around! Why did you just let a stranger carry you home?"
"Hello!? I am injured! Do you want me to fight then and get beaten?"
Jessica mouthed an 'O', she was right.
"That's not important! I still can't find the ring!!"
Jessica looked rather unimpressed at how poorly Taeyeon managed her priorities when it came to her safety. How can finding a ring be more important than three strange men attacking her. Now she understand why Tiffany said there is more than meets the eyes with this girl lying in front of her. Everyday there seems to be something new about Taeyeon.
"Just forget it. It was a fake one anyways."
"FAKE!?" Taeyeon rose up, and winced in pain when she did the action a bit too quickly. "I stayed out that long and it was a fake!?"
Jessica actually lied about it. She pretended it to be obviously true by rolling her eyes. "Yeah, you think they will let you wear a real one? Stupid."
"But..."
"We still have to compensate them for losing the fake one too. Don't think you get off the hook that easily."
"How much is it?"
"$2000." Jessica stated a random amount.
Taeyeon took out her phone, wanting to transfer the money to Jessica.
