Joohyun's driver arrived soon after their call. It was a quiet car ride, it seemed to Taeyeon that whatever she wanted to show her was at her house. This is the first time she will be visiting Joohyun's home too. And what is it that's making Joohyun so excited? Taeyeon noticed the younger girl's horrible attempts at concealing her smile and giddiness. Did she find out that I am her sister too?
Taeyeon almost swore when they have arrived at Joohyun's place, it made Jessica's home look like a playground. The surrounding yards were almost the size of soccer fields leading to a garden that's located at the back of the large estate.
As they approached the metal gates, Taeyeon noticed a familiar girl in a blue winter coat crouching near-by. It's Sunny. Her eyes widened in surprise.
When the car haulted to a stop, she quickly got off the car and walked over to Sunny, whos busy playing with her phone.
"Hey, what are you doing here?"
"Taeyoon! Hi. I am not sure. They asked me to come and they said it has something to do with me as your bodyguard, so I came." Sunny explained. "Did you do something again?"
"Why did they ask you to be here, I am pretty sure this place has plenty of guards..." Taeyeon looked around and the place was surrounded by a walls on all sides.
Joohyun raised a brow too as to why her father had asked Taeyeon's bodyguard to be here.
Sunny notices the pretty lady beside Taeyeon and her inner fangirl emerged. "Are you Irene from the recently debuted group, Red Velvet??" Her jaw dropped in excitment.
The said girl gave a slight nod, not losing her composure. "You are?"
"I am sorry. My name Sunny, I am Taeyoon's bodyguard."
"You?" Joohyun looked at her skeptically, judging her height.
Sunny gulped, feeling the pressure from the girl standing firmly in front of her, the former's eyes studying from her head to toe. She only managed a nod.
"Are you sure you can protect her? A high schooler can tower over you. Can you keep her safe?"
"Irene? Is that your name too?" Taeyeon decided to save Sunny from Joohyun's interrogation.
"It's my stage name." Joohyun answered, but still can't get Sunny being her bodyguard out of her mind. "Tae, is she really your bodyguard? I think you need to consider another one or replace her with a bigger guy."
Taeyeon scrunched up her face in disapproval and pulled Joohyun away from a caught off guard Sunny. "What's wrong with you!? Why are you talking to her like that?" She said slightly raising her voice.
Joohyun feeling a bit baffled by Taeyeon raising her voice at her over a seemingly incompetent bodyguard. "Why are you raising your voice at me over a bodyguard!? It's for your safety! She doesn't look competent for the job!"
"She is more than capable! And she is not just a bodyguard, she is my friend since high school. Just leave her alone, ok?"
"S...Sorry, I didn't know. But last time you were attacked, the three dudes sounded pretty big and scary, are you sure she is enough?"
Her face scrunched up at the sudden mention of that night. "How did you know I was attacked?"
"I heard rumours...your employer works with my father after all..." Joohyun gulped when she realized she said something that she shouldn't have said.
Taeyeon noticed something odd about it despite her reasoning, but decided to let it slip for now. "I can assure you Sunny will take care of me well. Let's head in. What did you want to show me anyway?"
