Justin's friends were not so bad. They didn't have much things in common, but that was difficult with Justin. He was complex like that. He barely let people know him, barely showed an emotion. People liked him because he was easy to be with. He never complained, he never judged anyone.
He was also liked because he was cool and so good looking. He was cool and hot and he didn't even know it. He was oblivious to it all like that. He even dared to be insecure. Although nobody knew that.
He had an air around him, as if he was a mystery. As if somehow he was hiding something and you weren't worthy of knowing. He walked a particular way, as if he was bored, but not lazy. Energetic, but uninterested. The way he ran his hand through his curls, just so they fall back to his face again, the way he just held himself, the way he smiled with his eyes.
And how intriguing were those eyes. He was mesmerizing.
Justin was the kind of person who made you wonder what were they thinking. All the time. And that's just one of the things he made you intrigued about. What was he thinking, what did he like, what kind of people was he into.
Justin was simply and irrefutably cool.
And I guess I understood him. But at the same time he was still a mystery.
I saw Jordan walking towards one of the cars, his eyes glancing at me before getting inside.
Justin sighed beside me. "He likes you. He told me he wants to make out with you. I told him he couldn't, but then your voice appeared in my head 'You're not my father!'" He mimicked my voice, or at leas tried. His voice was getting even deeper lately. "So, I'll let you decide. He's a senior, just so you know. He's in his car. He wants me to tell you he has something to show you. You have to act dumb and go see what it is he wants to show you."
"What is it?" I asked.
Justin gave me a look.
I laughed. "I was just messing with you." I sighed nervously. "What should I do?"
"I don't want you to go, I mean, if I could, I would put you in a little box and keep you inside forever so no guy could ever touch you."
I stared at him for a few seconds. He was being serious, his expression firm. And that, my friends, it's what made me walk towards the car.
"I should've known you'd do the opposite." Justin sighed behind my back.
My eyes were focused on the silver car ahead. I could distinguish Jordan's silhouette inside it, even if it was dark, so I opened the passenger door and got inside.
"Hey." I said nervously. Jordan smiled up at me. He was really good looking. He had intense brown eyes that shone with the moonlight. "Is this your car?" I asked stupidly. I hated acting this way.
"Yep." He caressed the dashboard. "All mine."
"That's so cool." I sighed. "I wish I could drive."
"I can show you how to do it." He looked at me. "Or I can drive you wherever you want." He added with a smirk. He put both hands on the wheel. "Where do you wanna go?"
"Now?" I asked surprised. He nodded. "I- I don't know."
"We could go someplace quieter."
I looked outside the window of the car. Justin was staring into our direction, although I could doubt he was able to see anything, it was pretty dark.
"Okay." I whispered.
He started the engine and backed up. I saw Justin sitting up straighter, trying to catch us up before Jordan made a turn and drove the way down the hill. We didn't get too far, it was just, as he so well put it, quieter. There was nobody in sight and it was even darker than before. The lights on the car and the little screen on the dashboard being the only thing to help us see.
