It all felt like a dream. Colors were brighter, the golden light coming from the window blurring the image in front of me.

Justin breathed heavily, I did too. His chest moving up and down quickly, his fists clenched.

He suddenly didn't look like the Justin I knew. He wasn't the boy I talked to one day at the cafeteria six years ago. He was a man. A man in control of his emotions. A man who had just declared his feelings towards me.

What now?

Someone knocked on the door. We both quickly turned our heads towards it, standing up as if we had been doing something we weren't allowed to.

Oli's head appeared by the door. "Dinner's ready." Justin nodded once.

Oli stared between Justin and me, as if sensing something was going on between us. "Are you staying?" He asked me.

Before I could even open my mouth, Justin replied with confidence. "Yes."

I turned my head quickly towards him, he met my gaze with his green piercing eyes. I averted it again, suddenly embarrassed.

Oli was still looking at us weird. "Everyone's downstairs." He announced before opening the door wide and leaving it open.

Justin sighed annoyed.

"Coco!" Eleanor yelled from downstairs. I glanced at Justin who just sighed again and ran a hand along his face.

I quickly stepped out of the room. I was too nervous to continue the conversation and the fact that everyone was downstairs just made it worse.

When I walked into the living room, Eleanor was already coming my way. "I was gonna look for you. Do you want some mac and cheese, honey?"

"Whatever's for dinner is fine." I nodded. I felt Justin presence behind me. It was as if the warmth of his body was embracing me. I felt a pull between us, my body leaning back towards his, needing the contact.

"Are you sure broccoli and chicken is fine?" Eleanor smirked.

She knew me so well.

"Mac and cheese sounds perfect." I said quickly. Justin chuckled. We shared a quick look before I got all red and went to sit down at the table.

Cara, Brandon and the twins were at the table already. Sandro, Brandon's son, sat beside me just as I sat down, Justin sitting on my other side. They all said Sandro had a crush on me. He was just three years younger than me and it was cute seeing him embarrassed around me. Although I may add, sometimes he was a little bit annoying.

Chloé was playing with Grayson, Brandon's six year old boy. Ash's kids were nowhere to be seen and apparently, all their significant others stayed at home.

Brandon and the twins were watching a football game on TV. I was used to just being Cara and I talking. Nico joined too, when he was here, but today Justin seemed to be curious about our conversation. I had seen his eyes glance at the screen just once, maybe to see how the game was going. He loved football but today, he preferred to listen to our conversation. He just seemed more attentive and quieter than usual.

"How's high school?" Cara asked.

"Urgh. I hate it." I gagged taking a piece of bread. "I'm failing everything."

"I feel you. I was just like you." Cara laughed. "So what would you like to do? Is college in the picture?"

"Hell nah." I cocked my head, pursing my lips. "Well, I still don't know. I want to do fashion."

"Fashion? As in modeling like me?" She asked curiously.

I shook my head, Eleanor sitting beside Cara before placing my plate in front of me. Everyone then automatically began to eat.
