Judy smiled as she grabbed the door handle. She paused and looked at the pair. "Oh, one more thing: everyone thinks you two are married already."
Quinn looked at Puck as Judy opened the doors and led the way inside.
"After tonight, we don't have to see your sister or these people again, okay?" Puck promised as he squeezed Quinn's hand. "Come on, Mrs. Puckerman."
Quinn raised her eyebrow. "You're okay with this?"
"That's where we're headed anyway, isn't it?" Puck asked, rubbing Quinn's belly. "After he's here."
"Yeah." Quinn nodded as she held Puck's hand. "Let's get this night over with then."
-
"Quinny?"
Quinn turned and looked at her sister, who had exited the bathroom stall.
"It's so good to see you." Frannie smiled as she hugged Quinn.
Quinn nodded when they parted. "Congrats. Ten years, huh?"
"Yeah." Frannie grinned, gesturing towards the dirty blonde beside her. "This is my daughter, Katie. Katie, this is your Aunt Quinny."
"Hi." Katie smiled.
"Hi." Quinn repeated.
"Let me bring Katie back inside and then we should catch up." Frannie noted.
"I should get back to the party." Quinn stated. "And make sure Mom isn't interrogating Noah."
"Yeah, she said you two got married. Congratulations." Frannie replied.
"Yeah." Quinn nodded. "Yeah, we've talked about it basically since our daughter was born so we finally made it official."
"And he's the father?" Frannie wondered.
"He's the father of both of my children, yes." Quinn answered as Puck peeked into the bathroom.
"Hey." Puck said. "I hope I'm not interrupting. I just wanted to check on you and see if you needed anything."
"So you're the guy who knocked up my baby sister." Frannie noted.
"I'm fine." Quinn replied, ignoring her sister. "Thank you."
"Sure." Puck nodded. "I'm gonna go see if Beth called."
"I'll join you." Quinn decided, leaving the bathroom.
-
"Quinn."
Quinn turned and looked at the old couple behind her.
"Hi, Reggie. Hi, Lola."
"Lola and I just wanted to congratulate you on your wedding and give you something to get you started." Reggie smiled, handing Quinn an envelope.
"You did good." Lola added, winking at Puck. "And congrats on the baby. Your mom said it's a boy."
"Yeah." Quinn smiled as she took Puck's hand. "And thank you. You didn't have to give us a gift."
"Put it towards that little baby."
"Thank you." Quinn nodded as the couple walked away. She handed the envelope to Puck and watched as he opened it.
"Oh my god." Puck muttered, showing Quinn the check.
Quinn shook her head as her mom walked over.
"Quinny, Noah, these are for you." Judy said, handing Quinn more envelopes.
"Mom." Quinn said. "We can't take their money."
"They're gifts for your wedding and the baby." Judy told Quinn.
"The wedding we didn't even have yet." Quinn mumbled.
"So put it towards the wedding." Judy suggested. "I asked you for one night, Quinny."
"No, you waited until we were walking in to tell us we had to act like we were married." Quinn clarified.
"You're getting married in December." Judy reminded Quinn. "Is it really so bad to practice for one night?"
"That's not the point." Quinn said angrily as more family friends approached her.
"Quinn, we just wanted to say hi and meet your husband."
"Hi." Quinn faked a smile, shooting her mom a look. She took Puck's hand and looked at him. "This is Noah."
"It's nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you, too." Puck said, shaking everyone's hands. He put his arm around Quinn and looked at her.
Quinn looked at everyone, furrowing her eyebrow. "Did you guys wanna join us?"
"We don't wanna bother you. I'm sure you're tired."
"It's no bother." Judy insisted, sitting down beside Quinn. "Please sit."
"Okay, thanks."
"So Noah, how did you propose to Quinn?"
Puck looked at Quinn.
"Tell them." Quinn nodded as she looked at Puck.
"Well, I joined the Air Force when I was nineteen, and I finished when I was almost twenty three." Puck began. "And we split up for a while, but we got back together at the Rockefeller tree."
"We all know how much Quinny loves Christmas." Judy smiled.
"Yeah." Puck nodded. "So on our anniversary, Quinn and I went to dinner and then we went to the tree and I proposed to her in front of our family and friends."
"Aww."
"We got married shortly after that because we just couldn't wait." Quinn explained. "And then we found out we were expecting."
"A baby boy." Judy said proudly.
"He'll be here in October." Puck added.
"A few days before Halloween." Quinn nodded.
"You two must be so excited."
"We are." Puck replied, looking at Quinn.
"Yeah, we are." Quinn agreed. "Our daughter is, too."
"I almost forgot about her. How old is she now?"
"Beth just turned eight in June." Quinn said.
"Eight? Wow. Time flies."
"It does." Quinn nodded. "Will you excuse us? I'm a little tired."
"Of course, honey. It was good to see you."
When Quinn was alone with Puck and Judy, she got up and looked at Puck. "Come on, Noah. We should go."
"You're leaving?" Judy asked.
"Yes." Quinn nodded. "Noah."
Puck stood up and took Quinn's hand.
"Quinny, stay." Judy requested. "Please stay."
"No." Quinn shook her head. "You're clearly ashamed of me and my life so I'll be going."
"I'm not ashamed of you." Judy replied. "Or your life."
"Then why are Noah and I pretending to be married? And why do they barely know about Beth?" Quinn demanded.
"Quinny, you know how these people are." Judy pointed out. "They're old-fashioned and judgmental and-"
"They are or you are?" Quinn interrupted.
"Quinn." Puck said softly.
"Hey." Quinn's sister said as she approached the group. "I wanted to introduce you to Nicky and our son, Kyle."
"Actually, we were just leaving. Goodnight."
