"Crap." Puck muttered. "I have to go pick my sister up."

"I'll go with you." Finn offered.

"No, I have to make dinner." Puck added. "She has a game tonight that I have to get her to."

"Why don't you join us for dinner?" Carole suggested.

"Another time." Puck nodded. "Thanks."

-

"Noah, Mom went to work."

"So?" Puck asked, propping his phone to his ear with his shoulder.

"So you have to come home." Sarah told Puck.

"I can't come home right now." Puck replied. "I'm working."

"Well, you can't leave me here alone." Sarah noted.

"Why not? I stayed home alone when I was your age." Puck noted.

"Come get me." Sarah requested. "Please."

"Fine, but you're coming back to work with me." Puck warned her as he hung up the phone. He looked at Finn. "I have to go get my sister. Tell Burt I'll be right back."

"Go." Finn nodded.

Puck left the tire shop and headed home on his motorcycle. When he got there, he unlocked the front door and looked at Sarah, who was laying on the couch.

"Let's go." Puck said, clapping his hands together. "I told you I'm working."

Sarah got up from the couch and followed Puck outside. "I'm not going on your motorcycle."

"Yes you are." Puck told her. "My truck's in the shop."

"So let's walk." Sarah replied.

"I need to get back to work." Puck reminded Sarah.

Sarah folded her arms.

"Do you like having food at home? And electricity?" Puck questioned Sarah. "'Cause I can't help Mom pay for that stuff if you make me miss work. Let's go."

-

"Dude, where are you going? Science lab is upstairs." Finn noted when he saw Puck by his locker.

"I have to pick my sister up from school." Puck explained. "She's sick."

"What about class?" Finn wondered.

"I'm skipping." Puck shrugged. "My mom's working."

"I can ask my mom to get her." Finn offered. "Or Burt."

"They're not on her list." Puck noted. "It's okay. I'll see you later."

"Wait, what about practice?" Finn wondered.

"I'll try to make it, but if not, tell Coach I had a family thing." Puck requested.

"Let me know if you need anything."

-

"Thanks for having us for dinner, Mrs. Hudson." Puck said. "You remember my little sister, Sarah, right?"

"Of course." Carole nodded. "Come in."

Puck and Sarah stepped inside, and Puck helped Sarah with her jacket before hanging it in the closet.

"Dinner will be ready soon." Carole told the Puckermans. "Finn and Burt are watching the game inside. And Kurt's upstairs."

"Thanks." Puck said, nudging Sarah towards the living room as he closed the front door. He headed to the kitchen and looked at Carole. "Need a hand?"

"Thank you, sweetie. I got it." Carole promised with a smile.

"Okay." Puck nodded slowly. "Sorry we came empty-handed. I know we should've brought something, but I-"

"You brought yourself and your sister." Carole interrupted. "All we wanted was your company."

"Really?" Puck asked, not used to someone not wanting or expecting more from him.

"Really." Carole repeated. "Go watch the game."

"Thanks, Mrs. H."

-

"She came." Puck noted.

"Who?" Finn wondered.

"My mom." Puck said. "Quinn invited her and Sarah and they're actually here sitting with her mom."

"Really?" Finn asked.

Puck nodded. "She's never been to a game or a glee club competition, but she's here."

Finn smiled. "Come on. Let's go graduate."

The boys joined their peers onstage as the graduation ceremony took place. They sang and smiled as they celebrated with their friends.

Finn, Quinn, and Santana cheered excitedly for Puck, but the loudest was Carole. He smiled and waved to her in the audience.

At the end of the ceremony, Finn and Puck walked to the lobby together to find their families.

"I'm so proud of you boys!" Carole exclaimed, hugging Finn and then hugging Puck.

"Thank you, Mrs. H." Puck smiled when they parted. He saw Quinn, Sarah, and their moms. "Oh, uh, Mrs. H, this is my mom. Mom, this is Finn's mom, Carole."

Carole looked at the brunette in front of her. She wanted to yell at her for being an absent mother. She wanted to yell at her for not letting Puck ever have a childhood.

But she didn't.

Carole put a smile on her face and nodded. "It's nice to finally meet you."

"It's nice to meet you, too." Ruth nodded back.

"I'm so glad you made it today." Carole added. "You must be so proud of your son."

"Mhm." Ruth muttered, looking at Puck. "It's nice to see he's actually capable of something other than knocking up random cheerleaders."

"Well, if you came to any of their games or competitions, you wouldn't be so surprised that your son is capable of anything." Carole replied as she turned to Puck. "Judy, Burt, and I are taking the kids out to dinner to celebrate. We would love it if you and Sarah would join us."
