Harry was staying at The Burrow with the rest of the Weasley's and Hermione. The Burrow was one of his favorite places besides Hogwarts. But it wasn't the same. It was quiet, which wasn't normal because Fred and George were usually making a lot of
noise. But Fred and George are the reason it was so quiet. The family had taken a big blow when Fred had died. There were no bangs from the twins room and the atmosphere wasn't as cheery as it usually was.Mrs. Weasley couldn't help herself from crying about every hour. Mr. Weasley tried to comfort her but it was no use. He wasn't going to work either. Percy had come back though. He had apologized profusely to the rest of the family and they had
forgiven him. But since he had come back he had locked himself in his room and refused to talk to anyone. George's reaction was the worst however. He never cried, as far as Harry could tell, but he was sadder than Harry had ever seen him. Losing his other half has been the worst experience he ever had."Are you in here, Mate?" Ron called, opening the door to his room. Harry jumped as Ron barged in with Hermione trailing behind him. Crookshanks was in Hermione's
arms squirming to break free of her grip. Pigwidgeon hooted gleefully flying around his cage wildly at the sight of Ron. "Shut it," Ron snapped at the owl but for all the good it
did he might as well have said nothing at all.Harry had been lying on his camp bed staring at the ceiling lost in thought.
"What?" Harry said, settling his nerves and sitting up to look at his two best friends."Mum says dinner's ready." He leaned against the wall to look at Harry.
"I'll be down in a minute," Harry said and Ron turned to leave. But Hermione stayed and sat down on Ron's bed.
"Are you alright, Harry?" She asked. She was looking at Harry as though she was worried about him. "Harry?" she repeated when he didn't answer.
Harry looked away before saying anything. "I'm fine, Hermione," he sighed. "Go down to dinner. I'll be there soon." She hesitated but then left, looking at Harry over her shoulder.
Harry sighed and sat back down on the bed not even realizing that he had stood up. He decided that he should probably go down to dinner. But Harry always wondered if he should go down. He always felt like he was intruding on the family's grief. Meals
were always silent as the events that had happened only a couple months ago, hung over them like a dark cloud. But Harry decided he better go down or the others would worry about him. He didn't want to put another burden on them. He didn't want them to have another thing to worry about. He stood up and left the room. Harry trudged down the stairs into the
kitchen. The dishes in the sink were washing themselves and there were two knitting needles hovering above a chair knitting a quilt. As he entered the kitchen everyone looked up. "Hello," Harry said awkwardly, standing in the doorway. He watched them all serving themselves food. He felt as though he should leave. It was like he wasn't supposed to be there somehow.
Mrs. Weasley stood up quickly and guided him to his seat. "Sit, Harry," she said, picking up a bowl of mashed potatoes and scooping some onto Harry's plate. After Mrs. Weasley had finished fussing over Harry's plate, she went back to her seat, hiding her face from the others.
They ate in silence for a long time and you could only hear the scraping of forks, until Mrs. Weasley croaked out, "I thought we might go to Diagon Alley tomorrow to get everyone's school things. Term is starting soon."
Everyone nodded and the rest of the meal was eaten in silence.
