Third PoV:
The rest of the week passed so fast, that Elena couldn't believe it is already Monday again.
It seemed like 5 minutes ago, that Ivano treated her like the others, but it's been three days. During the past three days, Ivano left no opportunity to insult her or to threaten her, but unknowingly to Elena, his gaze always softened when she wasn't looking.
His attitude confused her though. One second, he came into her room and held her close to him all night long and the next he was telling her that she isn't a part of the family and never will be.
And as much as Eleonora thought about his behavior and what she might do wrong to provoke him, she couldn't come up with an answer. So she just settled it on it being Ivano's personality.
This went well for approximately two hours on Sunday. After those two hours, the youngest Mancini saw Ivano watch a movie with the youngest Mancini brothers and he genuinely looked happy, calm and relaxed.
So after all, it seems that his attitude is exclusively reserved for his only sister and no one else. For no obvious reason, though. But maybe, this is just how things are supposed to be. Maybe they're not supposed to be close.
A knock on her door causes Elena to flinch and interrupts her thoughts. "Breakfast is ready." Giovanni tells her with a smile. She nods and grabs her bag before following him downstairs into the kitchen. Marcello and Cedro are already sitting at the table.
"Good morning, principessa." Cedro smiles while the two sit down and have Alfonso put breakfast down in front of them. "Thank you." She quietly tells the cook and lifts her head to meet her second oldest brother's eyes.
"Morning." Elena tells him and quickly looks at Marcello too with a small smile on her face, which he returns.
At least some of her brothers don't despise her.
"Santino already left for work but he'll try to be home for dinner." Cedro informs her.
"Okay."
"Ivano's with him." Marcello adds to Cedro's information about the oldest brother's whereabouts. She politely nodded and internally celebrates the fact that he might not be at school today.
Maybe today will be a good day, she thinks and starts eating her breakfast.
"Are you going to join them?" Giovanni asks.
"Yes, once you three leave for school."
"What are they doing?" Elena curiously asks them. In her opinion, they should have answered the question regarding what they do for a living by now.
"Just some boring stuff. Paperwork for our newest business."
"What business?"
"We bought a club." Cedro swiftly replies.
A club? That's what the whole work secret thing is about?
Elena almost laughs out loud at the fact that her brothers tried to hide them owning a club from her. What did they think she would do? Sneak out to join a party at their club?
"That's nice." She replies and quickly finishes her breakfast to avoid further conversation about the club. She's not sure if she could keep her laugh in.
"It is." Cedro says and exchanges a smirk with his brothers over her head. They also have a smirk on their face, because they know what exactly their brothers are doing.
"It's time to go." The oldest Mancini in the room says and everyone finishes their breakfast. The brothers leave the kitchen already but their sister stays behind to put the dishes in the sink. Just because they have a cook that does this for them, it doesn't mean that she or they, can't move out their own dishes in the sink.
