Third PoV

"What the fuck?" Ivano growls when he sees the man in front of him. He recognizes him immediately and despite all suspicions he ever had, having them confirmed now hurts more than the gun colliding with the back of his head when he jumps up from the couch.

He falls back right away and Santino's arm shoots out in front of him to make sure that he stays in his seat. The younger one looks at the older one and his confusion radiates off of him.

How is it possible that Santino doesn't look as confused and angry as he does? For years, they trusted him just for him to betray them all in the worst way possible in the end.

He recalls all the times they treated him like family and trusted their sister with him. A small side glance at Elena's pale face makes his nausea increase.

All this time, he was right in front of them without any of them knowing. Suspicions were all they had but they were dropped, faster than they clearly ever should have been.

"It's going to be okay." Cedro quietly says, reassuringly looking at Ivano and Elena. But neither truly register his words. Instead, their focus lays on the laughing man in front of them.

And if it wouldn't be for the gun pressed into his head, Ivano would be off of the couch again to put an end to this.

Eleonora though, she is the complete opposite of her brother. She's trying to make herself as small as possible on the couch in between her brothers. Her legs are shaking and her hands are fidgeting with each other. Cold sweat covers her body and she wonders when this will all be over.

She isn't interested in the truth she so desperately craved over the last few months anymore. All that matters for her now is that she can escape this situation and go back to living a normal life.

Her brothers had their reasons to be the way they are and it is painfully obvious for her right now. She doesn't blame them anymore. Because how could she when all of them are at the risk of dying any second now?

Resentment would lead her nowhere. Which is why she doesn't necessarily blame the man in front of them for the situation they're in.

Everyone is able to choose their own path in life, no matter their circumstances. Her brothers chose theirs, she chose hers and he chose his.

No one forced him to make this choice but his path lead him here. All of their paths lead them here. And despite everything, she believes in fate and that everything happens for a reason. And Elena is more than willing to find out what the reason for this is.

"I'll kill you." Marcello seethes, glaring at the man when his laughter doesn't die down.

"Now, you are in no position to threaten me," he shakes his head, "also, I would advise you to enjoy your sister's presence. It might be your last minutes with her."

"Fuck you." Giovanni spits out. The man comes closer to them, shaking his head while glaring at the twin brother. Once he's close enough Marcello's foot shoots out, colliding with his shin.

"You're going to regret that." He says but decides to step away from them, for now. He can save all of his anger and frustrations for a later point in time. Preferably right after the true fun actually begins.

"You're going to regret not staying dead." Marcello seethes.

"Now Marcello, that is no way to talk to me." He laughs, sitting down on the couch opposite of them. He puts Santino's laptop down on the small table and turns it around so the siblings and Matteo can see the screen once he opens the right file.
